Question about Phoenix Gold Octane-R 4.0:2 Car Audio Amplifier
I got a phoenix gold octane-r 4.0:2 amplifier almost a year ago and just recently, it started shutting off when the bass hits and back on after a second or two. The only way i can keep it on is if i turn my amp almost all the way down to the point that my speakers give more bass than my sub.
Sounds like one of two problems: either your subs are beginning or have gone bad, or you amp is going bad. What size power and ground wire are you using? You should be using at least a 4 gauge for both. Also what impedence are you running with the amp, ie; 4ohm mono, 2ohms stereo, etc?
