Try cleaning the rollers with alcohol, the tires are probably dirty and one side is not gripping the paper.

When I print, the paper gets jammed. The paper is grabbed on one side and goes in unevenly thus causing the jam.

Hello!
We must feed curved paper to our printer. To avoid paper jam let the paper be straight and dry... thanks

It wont grab the paper to print

Paper feed problem:

Remove any loose paper in the printer.

Paper jams

85% of paper jams are caused by worn rollers .The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease. If you plan to keep your printer,

Replace the pick-up and feed rollers.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response.

Thanks, Joe

Paper goes in squint drags to one side and jams

In my experience the usual reason for this is something (obstruction) in the paper feed. Make sure you have a really good look right down inside the paper path as quite small objects will stop a correct feed. The fact that it is one side makes me thing something is in there. I have serviced printers before with coins, paperclips etc that have found a way in.

Canon pixma ip 8500 won't feed paper

I have discovered that my problem was a one inch nail which had at some time been dropped into the paper feed slot. It could not be seen from the outside of the printer and was only discovered when I removed the side trim and top cover. When closely inspecting the nylon roller system that feeds the paper out, I saw a tiny piece of metal that looked out of place. Further probing then loosened the nail back to the paper input area.
My printer is now back in full operating condition after spending a couple of careful hours finding out how to remove the trim.
A well worth while exercise in my case.

Paper jamming and feeding unevenly

I have the exact same problem. Until last night it worked perfectly, and when it ran out of paper, I put more papers in the back of the printer correctly and since then it won't print, it pulls paper to the right and the paper jams. I tooked the printer to the service and they say that I'm lucky that the warranty did not expired yet, cause the problem is a "manufacturing mistake", and that they will take it to the Canon service.

I realy hope they will do the job. I'm expecting to repair be done till tomorow.

Paper feeds unevenly and won't feed properly

For me, although the paper was folding and jamming on the right, the problem was the farthest left roller. Just push a regular index card past this roller until it doesn't stick.  Good luck and thanks so much for this site.

Dimantle my canon pixma ip3000

I had this problem yesterday with my iP3000, but it turned out to be my own fault. I had randomly pushed the control panel buttons, as I tend to do that with printers, while I was trying to quickly cancel a print job.

The symptoms:
roller wouldn't advance, a lot of noise like it was trying to advance, then two yellow light error flashes. I knew it wasn't out of paper.

By randomly pushing buttons, I clicked the Paper Feed Switch which toggled from top sheet feeder to cassette.

I downloaded the e-user's guide from Canon and learned what those control buttons are. I simply clicked the Paper Feed Switch and it toggled back to top sheet feeder. That fixed it for me.
