Im facing a problem with my new acer desktop installed with vista home basic.
Previously on my old comp with XP i could play Dynasty Warriors Online smoothly with no problem chaining combos.
However with this new com, it seems like the mouse and keyboard seem to be lagging in game.
After pressing, there is a lag of almost 1sec before i get any response. And i either dont attack at all, or i can only do 1 hit at a time, no more combos.

Re: Mouse and Keyboard problem encountered in game
The problem is not with your mouse or keyboard but with your system itself. vista is very intensive in eating up your memory resources. try to disable some program like aero or other features of vista which will slow down your computer. how big is your memory both internal and video?

Check the processor on the machine first: is it seated properly, is the cooling fan turning on it. Next, reseat all of the memory modules in the case. Finally, test the keyboard and mouse and confirm they work; try a different keyboard and mouse on the machine. Listen for any unusual noises in the case (any noises that sound out of the ordinary), try running the machine with the side panel off if possible.
If you have both sets of keyboard and mouse plugged in, turn off the computer and remove the old mouse and plug in the new mouse. Reboot and if necessary use the keyboard to login. Once windows is loaded let it detect the new mouse and then shut down again. Take out the old keyboard and reboot. You should now be able to use both new pieces without problems.
If that case is the problem then try and use a USB (Universal Serial Bus ) mouse and keyboard if it work then try your mouse and keyboard you formally use on another system if it work then there is a problem with your mouse and keyboard Port.ok

try to run again the system restore cd, what OS you are using? is it old or new acer laptop? if you have new laptop with Vista OS it should be ok. if you have new laptop design for vista but rather installed XP maybe you will encounter difficulties loading drivers if you dont have xp driver cd (acer provided) if you have old laptop with XP OS it should be ok. if you have old laptop w/ lower memory and trying to install Vista it will not work or you will incounter difficulties
