Acer C110 Tablet

Hey up - just picked one of these up from my work colleagues as her husband fried the bios and bricked it. When power goes into the tablet, the battery light goes on (charging) and when I power on, the power light goes green and steady but the bluetooth / wifi light flicks on and off in a green manner.

There is no display on the screen. - so I'm guessing that the bios is goosed.
Any idea how much a new mobo would be or where in the UK I could send it for repair - and whether it is worth it in the first place?

Have the same problem. Tried flash bios and now power light stays on without any beeps or screen messages.

    I tried http://www.howtofixcomputers.com/bb/ftop....

It doesn't pick my usb floppy.

    Looking to change bios chip.

Same here! My green light (wireless/bluetooth) keeps flashing after powering on and nothing else happens. Although if the motherboard was fried for good would you get any flashing lights at all?
I wonder if there is any way to salvage it?

The cheapest way is about £100 for a laptop company to replace the bios - having said that - the tablet is only worth about £250 in it's current format anyways - so not sure what to do as yet...

I'd always be careful about flashing bios's especially if you do it ad-hoc - I'd only ever do it under instruction from Acer directly as they then have to take responsibility for it if it does not work...

Exactly the same problem! Green light( wirless/bluetooth) is flashing after powering on and nothing else happens. I wonder however if motherboard is fired at all. If that was the case there would be no flashing at all. But it's just a presumption.
I really hope there is still way to salvage this device!

On the acer travel mate only some models came with wireless and others did not. If yours has wireless the switch should be located right on the front of the computer. I hope this helps

My laptop is not working after intalling bois driver laptop automatically restart and never turn on again just blueetoh light flashes but no display

it's because the bios driver you have installed in your laptop is not compatible in your system.the consequence of that is damage of both system hardware and software.

I have a acer travelmate c110 and I am trying to connect to a wireless connection but the wireless switch is not on and I do not know how to turn it on. Please help.

There should either be a physical switch somewhere on the side of the laptop or by using the FN + a certain key to activate it. Look at the F keys for an image similar to wireless then try that. If the above does not work, its probably turned off in the BIOS. Access BIOS and turn it on.

Acer travelmate C110 & Acer projector X11602

Hi Andrew,

you can try changing the output of the travelmate, to VGA Or External Device.
ensure you have the correct output lead from computer to projecter. Then on your keyboard you should have a button that changes the output. i.e numerical 5-6-7 or 8. usually says LCD/VGA et,c.
failing this try altering the output in the systems bios setup.
you can enter this by pressing F2 Or esc at bootup.
if your unsure, and none of this helps, i,d suggest visiting acers site. and downloading the user manual(s)
