To access internal components, REMOVE POWER, lift the console by one of three ways. 1. Look in the back of the console, in each corner there will be a screw, unscrew until the console can be pushed forward. 2. The trim on either side can be pried off from the top, grasp and pull forward to expose to expose a screw. 3. insert a putty knife under each corner, push to release a latch. With console lifted:

1. You will find a lid switch connector (white in color). Unplug the switch from the connector.

2. There will be two brass colored clips. Place a flat blade screwdriver straight down into the opening on top of the washer and into the groove of the clip. Push the screwdriver down and away from you and the clip will release.

3. Open the lid of the washer and place your hand under the front rim of the opening (DO NOT grab the wash tub). Tilt and slide cabinet forward to remove.

There should be a counterbalance spring in the bottom rear of the machine. Sometimes the mounting hole in the frame will rust through..if so drill a hole next to old hole and reattach spring. Sometimes spring will rust and so replace spring.

Roper washer model RAX6144EW agitator quit working

first place to start is to check the brushes on the motor. These are carbon rods which settle on the centre of the motor and drive it using an electrical charge from the board. To do this yourself you need to
Turn off power
Place machine on its side but ensure its soapbox down to avoid excess water from the box leaking onto the main control board
I have never worked on a roper but I would imagine the motor should be visible from the base of the machine
On the motor you should see a plastic case on each side with 2 screws in each
These are your brushes
Unscrew and unplug them keeping note of the angle that they sit on the motor (very important)
The brushes top the sits on the motor should be shiny and clean. If it looks dull and is very small (less than 1cm) then they need replacing

It sounds like you have a bad water level switch. The switch is the one you turn to set the water level.

Check the coupling between the motor and gearcase. It is likely worn out. Hope this helps!

There are only springs that balance the machine. An even amount of clothes inside the washer keeps it balanced. But on the ropers the tub is designed to be very loose like it is. Load the machine evenly and you should be fine.

Watch not keeping the right time

I wonder if someone (I usually blame my kids for that sort of thing) has dropped it and managed to get adjacent turns in the balance spring tangled. Finding out means opening the watch up, examining, and if necessary fiddling with the most delicate part of the movement - there's plenty of potential to do further harm. (The balance spring is hair spring that sits beside the little wheel that you'll see rocking back and forth to make the watch tick. It should be a neat, open, flat spiral). A.
