Make sure your OS is compatible with the player first
Make sure you have installed the software
If you have Vista, check the company website for updated software
Make sure your usb port is 2.0
Go into device manager and make sure there is no yellow exclamation by the USB port
If Teknika has their website listed in the manual, tell us what it is, because it sure is impossible to find on the web
