Hi there
I have a HP pavilion DV5-1250us. When I turned it on sometimes it didn't start up at first and the capslock and numlock leds were blinking in loop. I needed to restart it to start up. But yesterday, it didn't start up at all and the two leds are flashing in loop. I restarted several time but it can not boot up and the screen is blank with two led blinking in loop.
I wonder if you can help me

Heres a simple fix that seems to work. Wrap it in some towels for a while (about an hour). It should turn itself off due to overheating. Unwrap it and let it cool off for a bit. Turn it on and see if this worked. Its worked on two of my hp systems. Im no longer buying from hp. Recommended brands are asus lenovo or acer.
Hello, Try to unplug AC charger, remove the battery and keep press the power button for 1 minute. after one minute, connect the battery and AC charger and start up the system
If the capslock, numlock and power LEDs are blinking, problem wid RAM. It is displaced due to impact. Get it fixed at the sevice centre.
Otherwise, insert the windows installation disc. Boot from it. Select language, etc. Select repair ur computer. Open the command prompt window. Follow the steps: 1) c: 2) C:\bootrec.exe 3)C:\bootrec.exe\fixmbr
Take the disc out and restart. Your problem should be solved.
If this does not work, try this in the stage "2)" 2) C:\bootrec.exe/rebuildbcd
remove external peripherals.
remove battery.
use ac adapter alone.
when u turn on laptop check the lock leds. what is the status of the lock leds (numlock) (capslock) (scroll lock)
shut down ur laptop, check any key stuck in the keypad? if not, just clean ur keypad, and switch it on then check, if not then remove the battery, ground the battery terminal in laptop start laptop without the battery, then let me know ok? :-)
Dear javier4017, > First ensure that any beep is coming or not > check numlock LED status glowing or not. > If numlock LED glowing it means cpu working fine only problems with monitor >If numlock LED not glowing its mean problems with cpu > if problems with CPU Find check RAM may have dusting problems.
