Some keys on my laptop dont work

Trying a desktop keyboard is useful for determining if it is a keyboard problem or a software problem. This usualy happens if some liquid has gotten into the keyboard, but you said thats not possible. Try to boot into bios, the first screen that pops up when you boot, on a toshiba it is usually pressing F1 or Del. then if your Arrow keys don't work there, you need a new keyboard.

Key come off

Depending on the keyboard design, some keys can be snapped back on. If that doesn't work, then generally a replacement keyboard is in order.

I usually find keyboards on ebay by searching for the model of the system

EXAMPLE: Dell D600 keyboard

Most keyboards can be replaced for around $20

Another keyboard skipping until I removed the dead battery, now it works.

Turn off the touch pad mouse, there is a button to do that. If the problem is still present then remove the mouse driver and go to Synaptic web site and download the most current driver. HP is the place to get the driver though. For some strange reason the problem is present more under XP than it is under Vista. On a Vista the problem is fixed. Either you can disable it or use external USB mouse instead.

Dell Inspiron 6400 Keyboard key came off

I just got a dell inspiron 1720 and got a chunk of food under a key. And like you was not sure if the key was removable or not. well it was.. I GENTLY pulled it up and it poped off. It has very small groves that clip onto retaining wires.. very small and fragile looking. not saying yours is the same but if you can see under the key since it is up a little you may be able to tell... it was harder then I thought to put the key back on... pushed pretty hard and then POP it was on... If you dont feel comfortable doing it take it in. And like I said yours may not be the same as mine. if for some reason it is broke where it wont go back on, you should be able to order a new keyboard for it, IF you feel you can change one out.

In the upper front of the keyboard you can twist or remove the cover after you remove the cover unscrew the four or three screw that hold the keyboard and then detached the keyboard and clean or dry it.

Fixing Lenovo 300 g410 laptop keys

They are snap-ins, and once one comes out, it is usually very difficult to put back. If you are in warranty, demand that they fix it--likely a new keyboard is in order.
