Question about Microsoft ZUNE JS8BRPBDLUG MP3 Player

1 Answer

The headphone interior cable does not work.

I changed the headphones of my Zune numerous of times. Untill I finally figured out that the problem wasn't the headphones but it was the inside part that allows the music to flow through the headphone.

Hey Kathyywatty,

The problem you're encountering may not necessarily be a loose internal connection, and may instead be a defective headphone jack. In cases when headphones are unable to make a secure connection, users may only experience sound coming from one of their headphone's speakers, a static-filled signal or no sound at all.

While there may be some third-party parts suppliers that carry replacement components you can install on your own, I'd strongly suggest contacting either the toll-free Zune support hotline or your local repair facility for further assistance. Any repairs that are not performed by a factory-authorized technician may void any warranty coverage you still have on your Zune.

If you're not sure how to contact Microsoft, you should be able to reach their technical support by calling 1-877-GET-ZUNE (877-438-3269). Additionally, if you're not quite sure where your local repair facility is, you may always bring your product into the Geek Squad® counter at your local Best Buy™ store for service and support.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

How do I play my Zune hd through my car speakers, my head unit is a Kenwood excelon KDC-X692

If your Kenwood has an AUX input then you can connect a audio cable from the headphone connector on the Zune to the the AUX input on the Kenwood. Power up the Zune ans set it to music and switch the Kenwood to AUX.

Everytime m headphones move my zune acts like they fell out and stops playing but they didnt so i bought new headphones and found out it was the zune that was acting up........i was wondering if it cant be...

Sounds like the headphone jack has broken solder connections to the circuit board. Mine MP3 player did too.
Fix it with a REALLY small-tipped soldering iron, re-solder the jack connections... not real easy.
Or return/exchange it.

First off. i think you mean 120gb.

Secondly, Here are just a few different suggestions.
1) Make sure its not muted on your zune
2) Some headphones have a volume switch on them so if yours have that switch, turn them up.
3) Try a different pair of headphones.

Zune only plays music out of one ear

When I first got my Zune the sound was really bad, but it turned out that I hadn't pushed the headphone jack all the way in. Don't be afraid to use a little force because it's necessary. I'm not sure if this is what's wrong or not, though. Hopefully it's a not a problem with the device.

Connecting zun to car stereo

Short answer, nope. Completely different connections. You'll foul the Zune if you try it. Unless the iPod connection plugs into the headphone jack, but even then, I wouldn't.

Zune warranty

Hello btexpresss,

Sorry to hear about your Zune. Unfortuantely, liquid damage is not covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty or Best Buy's™ Performance Service Plan. The unit may still be repairable but those repairs are not going to be covered by the service plan.

Best Regards,
Ken

Zune

You mean no sound comes out ?

First try some other headphones
and make sure your sound is up and mute is off.

if that doesnt work, see if there is something stuck in it.

if that didn't work its probabaly an internal problem and then your only options would be to get it serviced or bring it back.[hopefully you still have warranty]

Good luck.

No right ear audio

This is caused by the output jack on your zune, what happened was when your headphones were plugged in they got bent or twisted and it moved half of the holder away so it is not touching the cable when it is plugged in, you will probably have to send your Zune into microsoft to have this fixed.
