The memory card with my SC-2300 is full and I can not find how to delete photos from the card. Like this user, there are very few photos on the memory card, but the display indicates it is full and the camera will not operate with the card. I just want to know how to delete!

I had about 60 pics on my camera. I saved them on the comp, then deleted them off my camera, but it still says the memory card is full. Why? It will only let me take about 5 pics now and then it's full. What do I do?

How do I switch from using the internal memory to using the card.  The card is inserted but it still stores them in internal memory?

You did not mention the make or model of the camera. Your symptoms seem to indicate you are using internal memory rather than the card. Card typically hold from 200-2,000 high quality photos (depending on the size of the card and the camera).

Another possibility is that you have a high end camera and are shooting in the RAW format. RAW is only for the more experienced users who post process their work. If this is the case switch to JPG.

Note reducing the picture size only makes the pictures lower quality and is only useful if you only post them on the web.

Memory card has less capacity or you have selected Hi Quality picture option. Try to format memory card with PC and reduce picture quality in camera menu to make low size picture file.

Check that your digital camera is not in playback or review mode.
Make sure the memory card is in the camera and that the card is properly formatted.
The Memory Card may be full. Download the images to the computer or delete some to make way for new photos.
Check the charge on the batteries. Replace if necessary.
Have you been using the flash? It may be recharging. When it is recharged, the camera will be ready to take photos again.

Digital camera will only take 8 photos and then says memory full

What make and model camera? Digital cameras only have a limited amount of built-in memory, sufficient to hold perhaps eight photos. Most cameras are designed to accept memory cards, which greatly increase capacity.

Memory full after about 20 pictures should I be able to take more I come back download and it still only lets me have about 20 pictures each time. This with my 5105.

The number of photos you can shoot depends upon the size of the memory card, you must have a small memory card in your camera . Try inserting a 4Gb to 8Gb memory card in your camera.

I have the sony camara DSLT A300 evreytime i take more than 2 pictures it tells me card is full

You didn't tell us how much memory you have installed. At 10 megapixels, even a 2GB card will hold fewer than 20 full-resolution photos. Installing the maximum Compact Flash memory of 8GB would seem mandatory to me unless you want to voluntarily limit the resolution at a point lower than the 10MP native resolution.

Camera still reads full and will not work when new memery card installed

I had the same problem. Your memory card likely has too much memory. I put in a 4G card and it would not take a photo. Every time the camera went off it said "Error - Card Full".
You have 2 options.
1.) You can remove the memory card and use the internal memory to take photos (it will only hold 20 pics) and transfer them onto the memory card by shutting the camera off, inserting the card, turning the camera on, wait for the menu to clear and then shutting the camera off again and removing the card. This does work, but you are limited in the number and quality of photos that you will get.
2.) Get a smaller capacity memory card. I went out and bought a 2G card. Funny thing is that the camera wouldn't even recognize it at first. When I turned the camera on a message saying "Please wait" kept flashing on the screen. I waited 10 minutes and just shut it off and pulled the card again. I took the card home and formatted it on my PC. When I put it in the camera the next time it worked fine. So to save you some trouble, buy a smaller card and FORMAT it on your computer before trying it in the camera. It will save you a headache. After all of that BS I finally got the stupid thing to work. It takes beautiful pics but I will not be buying another Cuddeback. My next trail cam will be a different brand for sure. Not worth the hassle IMO.
