Hi, I downloaded the softwARE but cant

Figure out how to open the printer to put in the cartriges and do a test pattern

    hahaha mine doesnt have a door that opens it is a z615 and nothing seems to open

If you lift the door open the cartridges should come out to the center of the machine.

To print a test pattern, go to the control panel, select you printer with the mouse, press the right mouse button and select properties.

Select printing preference and look for a service tab.

That should contain the test pattern.

Replace a new cartrige. Then try to reset printer absorver permanently-
1.First, download the resetter software that the user majorhazard let the link.

2.use the regular steps to reset temporal,unplugged the cable, press and hold the power button, reconect the power cable, while holding the power button, press reset button 3 times, turn the printer on.

3.here are the another steps to reset permanently
1.uncompress the Generaltool.exe
2.Run GeneralTool.exe
3.select the USB PORT of the printer
4.hit or click on LOCK RELEASE
5.check the checkboks CLEANING and also EEPROM CLEAR
6.click in the model of printer (My case IP12000e)
7.Click MAIN and PLATEN
8.Click TEST PATTERN 1.
9. that`s all.
10. If you wanna be sure that works just unplugged the printer and reconect(Power cable.)

Try unplugging printer from the power and connecting it back.

Try also extracting all toners and putting toners back.

Maybe there is fault in the software and will need a re installation. so remove your printer from the PC and un-install the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can
also be poor ink cartridge contacts

Hi.

Try the following in order:

Disconnect printer power cord.
Turn off computer.
Disconnect computer power cord. (if laptop also remove battery)
Restart first computer than printer.
(this may look stupid, but it drains power that can jam USB ports and cause malfunction).

Clean the metal plate contacts in the ink carriage using cotton and isopropyl alcohol or cleaning solution.

Try turning off printer and performing a new cartridge installation. Use the HP software cartridge replacement procedure, do not simply swap cartridges.

Disconnect printer USB, reinstall printer software, connect printer back when prompted by setup wizard. Updated software for this model available at Software & Driver Downloads.

If you have spare cartridges, test them, the problem may be caused by a defective cartridge chip. Non original or refurbished cartridges commonly cause similar problems.

Hi,I've got a ip1800 printer that will not work ovbiously was working just fine until I try to replace the ink cartrige. Please help. Leo


try to reset your ink counter.. open control panel->click printer and faxes->right click your printer and click on properties (open printer properties)->click maintenance tab and click ink counter reset and check the ink box you alredy replaced and reset then.
2. if still not work check your print pattern in maintenance tab too and print..
3. cleaning your printer in maintenance properties and print check pattern again...

Ink Levelos are blank after replacing black cartrige and still will not print


Hi there,
  • Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
  • Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
  • restart the computer
  • try to download drivers from the website
  • after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
  • then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

Check.......removable tabs removed, cartridges installed [they Click when pushed down]. Did you get a Clear test pattern? If all the above have been done and you still have a problem, it's time to call Epson tech support

Check that is defined as default printer in 'installed printer' in Windows, and that you are not sending documents in printout to another non connected printer present in Windows under 'installed printers'.

Unplug completely computer from power socket and from USB for 10 minutes, to get rid of electrostatic problems on USB. Plug everything back and restart.

Check the USB cable, replace USB cable with a different one to check if it was the cable.

Uninstall printer from 'installed printers' in Windows (delete). Disconnect printer from USB, reinstall printer from printer software CD or downloaded driver. Connect printer to usb only after installing, or when explicitly required by software, this is important
