Record to disk (by 3 users)

When trying to record for hdd to dvd, self check mode comes up and says reinsert new disk. New disk inserted, same message........

I have the same problem.

Yeah, same problem here, as well. I have used the very same DVD (DVD-R) as usual, but when starting the "Dubbing" it goes to SELF CHECK mode and does nothing. The direct recording from the set-top box were successfull onto the DVD....

Is there any software/firmware patch we are not aware??

Not able to burn from HDD to DVD.
When machine goes to burn, process starts for a couple of seconds,then closes down and self check appears. Have tried different discs, all -r (not from the same batch) and different recorded programmes. Recording to HDD still seems fine.

Are the disks you are using DVD-R?

There not DVD+R?

I was having the same problem and tried many different types of DVD-R (16x, 8x, even 4x thining speed might be the problem) finally went to the web page and downloaded the updated program. When I put that download into the disk drive the machine read it and the problem went away. Had not been able to use high speed before that either but it worked after the updated program was in it.
