Plug it into computer, and pray that it works. Sandisk no longer has the driver on their website - this player is completely obsolete - you MIGHT find a driver website listed in the solutions section, but generally I have found most "Driver" websites to be fake sites - sry

My new sansa clip 4gb is not recognized by pc windows xp

It most likely came with an installation CD. Find that CD and install the program needed to organize your songs.

P.S. I think those software they make you install is pointless too! :)

Sansa clip code 10 error

The solution for a Code 10 error is always to unplug the mp3 player from the computer, uninstall all software related to the hardware (in this case, uninstall all Sansa-related software), restart your computer, reinstall all software from the installation CD (you can also get it from Sandisk's website if you have lost the CD), restart the computer one more time, and THEN replug the mp3 player.

There MIGHT be an easier way - you can try running the Sansa Recovery Tool - but Code 10 is almost universally an uninstall/reinstall situation.

Cannot connect

Did you run the installation CD before you plugged the mp3 player into the computer? If not, disconnect the mp3 player from computer, uninstall all the Sansa software on your computer, and reinstall the software from the installation CD.

If the uninstall/reinstall fails, update the firmware on the player from Sandisk's website.

Good luck!

I have a sansa clip media player and my computer does not recognize it how can i fix this

You can get any missing software from Sandisk's website if you have lost your installation CD.

Another way to force recognition:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).

Sansa clip

You don't need Vista to install the Sansa Clip. Run the installation CD (or grab the software from Sandisk's website), and plug the player into your computer.

Please send the process to Sansa e260 Mp3 Player solve the problem of Recovery mode

If your CD is damaged, you can obtain a replacement from Sandisk.

To enter Recovery Mode, turn off your device, ensure the HOLD switch on top is slid to the right (towards the headphone jack), connect the cable to the device (not the computer yet), hold down the RECORD switch on the side, and connect the cable to a USB port on the computer.

If this does not solve your problem, you will need to re-install the firmware.

Try using the Sansa Dispatch to upgrade your firmware. If this does not work, we may need to manually update the device. This is kind of technical and (in most* cases) voids the warranty.
