Question about Sony VAIO VGP-WKB1 Keyboard

Keyboard not working!

I have a Vaio wireless keyboard that has just stop working with my Vaio Desktop. I have put new batteries in it and hit the reset button and cleaned the keyboard with a can of air. When I reboot the computer I try to go into BIOS or setup and it will not recognize it and continues on with a normal boot up straight into windows XP like there is no problem. I cannot type anything in windows with my keyboard but the wireless mouse works ok.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Evidently this is a website where you have to pay in order to get a resolution. I am not interested in paying a bill to get a resolution. Sorry I wasted anyones time with this for I will resolve it on my own.

Windows media OS had black screen with moveable cursor. Have performed a system restore, but the keyboard won't work. I have also reinstalled the batteries, hit the connect button on the back of the keyboard, but it won't type.-------------

Let your computer boot as normal.Go to Device manager>under keyboards your wireless keyboard should show. If its not there reload it from the set up disc that came with your hardware i.e keyboard and mouse. If its listed enable it or uninstall and reinstall.

Keyboard is not working on new Vaio laptop.

Once you have checked the batteries in the keyboard, then push the tiny little button on the side of the computer around the peripheral plug ins. After pushing that, hit the connect button on the wireless device. They should be re-syncd.

If you still have trouble with the keyboard it may be defective.

Goo0dness, Had this myself just last week. Fortunately I had the old keyboard and mouse and plugged it in to get access. i had the same problem, i checked the batteries with a DMM and the measured 1.4v i replaced the batteries with new and i still had the same problem. anyway i ended up taking the keyboard apart and found where the antenna is connected to a push on type connector alongside the pcb board inside the keyboard, the connection was slightly corroded. i cleaned it up and it is working fine know, even with the old batteries.
