Question about Philips 60PP9352 60" Rear Projection Television
Looks like I'm not the only one with this problem. My red convergence is way off, especially i the lower left to middle of the screen, and I'm not able to manually converge it. By searching online I've discovered that shopping channels are often the cause of this sort of thing due to the bright colors constantly displayed in those locations on the screen. I've also read that a burnt IC may be the culprit. Do any of you know which board I should be looking at, which IC on the particular board, and do you have the repair manual for this model. Also, is there a particular way to clean inside the unit without damaging the boards, and at the same time, a tune-up procedure for this TV? Sorry for sooo many questions, I just like to do things the right way.
I had the same problem, had it professionally repaired. looked intense if you don't know what your doing. Be cautious. Try craigslist. I dont know where you live but I got a repair for $250. I know what he did though, msg me if you are planning on doing it yourself. I need a service manual bad. My colors are off, but not the same as yours. The STK392-120 are for your tv. I had them replaced and the picture was good, word of advice "dont touch the knobs hanging inside the unit that say RGB and Focus" LOL. :( I did, now I have green hair and blue grass. Good luck! the IC's are located in left rear part, you have to take out the whole curcuit board that has them on it. Just unplug all of the wires and unscrew the board from the base, makes much easier to work on.

This is a problem with the convergence circuit. If you can solder, try resoldering the pins on the convergence ICs. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the ICs. These ICs are large and black, attached to a heat sink and are marked STKxxx.
Keep us posted on your progress.
