FIrst make sure you are using a #15 HP cartridge, the #45 looks similar but will not work in the PSC 750. If the cartrdige is a #15 try cleaning the contacts as shown here.

If this does not resolve the issue check the warranty information. If the cartridge is an original HP (not a reman or refill) see the following for warranty information and if the cartridge is still in its two year warranty period return it to your dealer for a replacement.

If the cartrdige is a #15 reman you might find the following enlightening. In this case you will need to contact your dealer for a replacment.

For future reference, a rating of "Inappropriate" is something that would be assigned to a spammer or someone who was posting a response entirely inappropriate.

The solution I gave you is correct for 95% of the cases I have seen, it appears you have a bad #15 cartridge. Did you try cleaning the cartridge contacts as shown in the link? This is different than using the toolbox or front panel to clean the nozzles. I would bet that a new HP #15 cartridge would solve your problem.

Keeps saying insert colour cartridge when we have just bought a new cartridge of correct spec. Says incorrect colour cartridge installed.Impossible to get past!!!

Hi,The most common reason for missing or incorrect colors is a print cartridge with one of the following problems:
  • One or more of the ink colors is empty. The black ink and all three colors of ink in the tri-color cartridge must be available or colors will be incorrect or missing. Under normal usage, the print cartridge will run low on one color of ink shortly before all ink colors are emptied.
  • The protective tape is not removed from a new cartridge.
  • Contacts on the cartridge are not making proper contact with the print carriage.
  • The cartridge is remanufactured or refilled.
  • The cartridge is defective.

Inserted correct hp cartridge however, display screen reports error incorrect colour cartridge installed? please help

The color cartridge you have is likely electronically damaged. I would recommend trying to exchange for a new one or get your money back.

INSERTED NEW COLOR CARTRIDGE 24 ERROR INCORRECT CARTRIDGE

Yes, you should return this cartridge to Office Depot. I own a cartridge refilling store and I've had a couple customers that buy original manufacturer cartridges that don't work in their machines. What I suspect is happening is that the manufacturers are making their printers stringently check the cartridges to make sure they are not refills and that this stringency is also occasionally kicking out their original cartridges.

Error message reads: left cartridge incorrect.

hello there :

this error refers to the black ink cart not being detected .

possible the new cart has a some fault on it ., u can confirm it by checkin for any defetc , leak on the cart itself or test the printer with another black cart , (if u hav one ).

*if the old black cart is still detected by the printer though the ink is low ...then jus call dell tech support ., with the order # for ur purchase and the cart replaced .

each dell cart u buy has 2 yrs warranty on them .so use them

hav a gooday !

Error message Incorrect printer cartridge (but it is correct )How do i correct this error

I've never encountered a problem like yours on the HP78 cartridge or even the HP15. Have you tried cleaning the cartridge as well as the printer pin? The only time we had this problem with one of our customers, we cleaned the cartridge and the printer pins and the problem was gone. Let me know if this helps.

Right cartridge incorrect

If it says to check the right cartridge (Black), replace it with a brand new one or one you know is good.

Walgreens will test and refill your cartridge for ~$10.00 (black).

I have heard of new OEM HP cartridges being bad.

The printer checks the cartridge level sensor and the electrical stuff.
