Question about Ovens
I have a tall wall cabinet with an old AEG double oven (don't know make, but it looks older than 2ndhand ones I've seen described as 10 years old). I wish to update the kitchen without spending too much as the market is not so good at the moment!
We are getting the flooring replaced by insurance (leak = speed bumps across floor from swollen chipboard) which will entail removing all the floor cabinets. They are happy to install new appliances if it is the equivalent of refitting the old ones.
So, how do I find a new double oven that will fit in the existing space? The current oven is 88cm high and the cabinet is standard 60cm width, 63cm depth.
Also, it seems that 60 and 70cm hobs are quite standard in cut out size, right? or do I need to match that exactly too? My current gas hob is push button ignition - as we have a powerpoint already, I can get an automatic ignition model that they can easily install?
Thanks so much - this is all new to me as you can tell!
Well that metric size given wont be the problem
most double ovens are metricated
if you need packing or extra leveling or oven framing to finish the job
that can be added using MDF or laminates
any double oven for sale on line
may have the fitting requirement for you

Some have a AAA battery under the button - replace this, others use mains to create the spark, ensure you have the ignition wired up
