Dell Inspiron 1501 black screen

My dell inspiron1501 has a black screen, I turn it on and the dell logo appears, then aerror message, that says it was not shut down properly, I choose tostart it at safe mode, as i have read before, but then a bunch ofnumbers and letters appears, and it goes back to a black screen.
I've tried everything from, Blue FN and F11, F2, F8 on start up.. etc.
I even tested my hard drive and it actually passed, but still a black screen, no desk top..no log in, nothing....
Please help..

I think your system's files is corrupted due to improper shut down or sudden lost of system power.so better do fresh installation of operating system or do recovery by booting up windows xp from cd rom.

Deleted date would already be in your recycle bin.

To move files into your recycle bin, drag and drop the file on top of the recycle bin icon.

Dell Inspiron 1501 won't boot

The initial Dell Screen you see at the begining is your BIOS access. Push F12 repeatedly when you see this screen and it will take you into a system restore mode. It will let you boot from CD first (which your PC is not set up for). You should be able to start the CD fine from there.

Wont turn on properly

Hi,
Press the F8 key about 7 times slowly when you see the DELL logo screen after the restart.
Select the option Repair my computer.
The start up and repair window would come up follow the wizard . It should fix the issue .
If it does not , it would give you more options to try repair the system. Try system restore from the options.
If none of the above steps work , it time to reset your computer to factory settings. A corrupt vedio driver update, is the cause of this problem

Thanks
Mandeep
