Sony 72 inch 1080 HD TV - yellowing in the center of the screen. Recently replaced the lamp and adjusted the picture settings but the yellow patch remains. Please advise what is the best thing to do to...

I hate to say it, but your Optical Block aka Light Engine is going out on you. Sony has been extending Warranty on these since they have been so problematic, but this has been on a case by case basis. Your best bet is to call Sony and keep at them. If this gets you nowhere, it will not be cost effective to fix.

I cannot understand how to connect my dvd player to my tv

just connect the video(yellow) and audio(red&white) outputs from your dvd using a 3 wire RCA patch cord set to the AUX Video input on the back or side of your T.V.(also yellow red and white) then switch the T.V. to AUX input and play your dvd

I have a slight yellowing in the center of my screen. We recently replaced the map, and have tried adjusting all picture settings but the yellow patch remains. It's a Sony Grand Wega, by the way.

Don't know if the DLP tvs have a Deguassing coil, inside it bazel frame.Take ur tv aparts check, see if u have big coil rapping with ectrical tapes fit inside ur bazel frame of ur tv.If yes,the componnents parts that make the coil work it dead. This coil demagnictize for the tv tube first turn. All regular small CRT tube tvs '30 inches and down have this dequassing coil inside it bazel frame.

Picture had yellow tint and now there is no picture and red light is blinking next to lamp

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.
Sony TVs has an Optical Block issue. If there is an issue with the optical block, then there will be green, blue patches or tint on the TV display. Try resetting the TV to the factory settings and try Power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then TV may require service. You can contact the Customer relations team and check for the available options. Sony had repaired free of cost for such issues. Hence, contact the customer relations.

Audio but no video cable/sat input or patch cables from DVD playe

Make sure the yellow [video] cable is in its proper home on the tv and sat box. You should be working with 3 cables and be sure to press the correct input with the remote or on the tv itself.

What sort of cable should be used to hook up my koss ks4127 to my viewsonic HD TV?

You have three choices for video. You can use a standard composite connection via an RCA patch cable (yellow) or an S-Video cable which will give you a slightly better picture than the RCA cable. You could also use the RGB connection but this requires a special three-cable connection (not worth the hassle). For audio you can just use the standard RCA (white/red) patch cables unless you want to listen to 5.1 which will require a Digital Audio Coaxial cable.

No color on dvd player

A cable could cause this problem. I would try using a standard RCA patch cable and go from the composite video output of the DVD player to a composite video input of the TV. See if that produces color. If not, the DVD may be at fault. On the other hand, if you get normal color, the S-video cable could be bad.

Hope this helps.
