JVC TD-W354BK Single Dual Cassette Deck

Duping decks

By M0nica L - usenet poster

I bought a JVC TD-W354BK dual cassette recorder for duping cassettes. It
also has a mic input, which lets me do quick mono recording.

But, it has a wow & flutter problem. I read Consumer Report and they said
that this was a problem with most of the duping decks. I had an old Sansui
(about 15 years old) which finally died. However, it didn't have such a
problem.

Are there any good duping decks that don't suffer this problem... What
brands/models? Or am I going to have to get two regular decks?

This Problem has been added to the Share Your Expertise Page under "My Work Queue".

I think you're always better off using two seperate decks for any high
quality dubbing. But if you need a dual well deck (for high speed
dubbing, maybe?), Denon make all-around excellent cassette decks.

I have 5 Onkyo 411's they record on both sides, and have worked out very well.
They have thousands of hours on them now, and still make decent cassette
recordings, if there is such a thing, I personally can't listening to cassette
tapes.

Good Luck,
Paul
