Backup all your data and after that press *#7370# and the phone will be reset. Then check whether your problem is solved. If it isn't,use nokia software updater which is awailable for free on nokia's official website.
Try flashing your phone. Install NOKIA PC SUITE and NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER (google them and select them from the Nokia websites) on your computer. Then connect your phone via the USB cable. Once the Nokia PC Suite finds and instal your phone, then run the Updater. It should allow you to install a higher version or the same version of your software. If you like to keep your data, you can use the nokia PC Suite to back up your entire phone before running the Software Updater. Afterwards use the same to Restore your Data. Make sure your phone is fully charged before doing this.
try updating your software using the nokia pcsuite and soft updater before you even consider to purchase and parts. then try opening your phone and cleaning al contacts. if that fails then its time to consider new parts shop on ebay i found
Go to www.nokia.co.uk or the nokia site dedicated for your country. If you're not sure of the address you can go to www.nokia.com, select your counrty and then proceed from there. Then click the 'Get support & software' link on the page. Select your phone model. i.e. Nokia 6288. Then go to the Download Software tab & download the device software update. Once you've downloaded the Nokia Software updater for your device you can connect the phone to the PC using the USB cable. Follow the instructions & update the phone's software. Note: This would not work if the handset is keyguard locked as the phone needs to be unlocked so that the device can be recognised once connected to the PC. TIP: I've tried locking my NOKIA 6288 by entering the incorrect Security Code when it asks for the keypad unlock code & this locks the handset after 5 incorrect attempts but if you leave the handset ON for atleast 5-10 minutes & then try unlocking the keypad using the correct security code, the handset then gets unlocked.
