The Slingbox 500 supports an HDMI connection directly.
I hope this helps. Slingbox includes a link to one converter in the specifications for the M1 and the M2 on those product pages: http://www.slingbox.com/Products/SlingboxM1/Specifications and http://www.slingbox.com/en-US/Products/SlingboxM2/Specifications . Look on the right hand side of either page for that link.
I had the same problem. The projector works wonderfully connected to my iPhone (with an adapter), and connected to other kinds of laptops, but not with mine. Apparently the projector is not compatible with every laptop. I had to connect my projector to my laptop via a Netgear PTV1000 streaming player in order to use it.
You connect to the player wirelessly. Then use the HDMI cable to connect the player to the projector. Streaming Players
I happened to already have the player so I didn't have to purchase a new device. I hope this helps you.
HP available M1 to VGA (included )
Optional M1 to DVI (available on HP accesories)
To connect laptop via HDMI to Projector you need a HDMI to DVI adapter + Cable M1 to DVI (you get ONLY Video on DVI Output)
To connect Wii to projector you need a M1 to Composite
Unfortunatly your projector is not HDCP compliant. In other words it lacks the proper hardware and software which is neccessary for you to watch HDCP content. HDCP is a form of copy protection.
M1-DA is a type of DVI connection that produces both analogue and digital signals, the easiest and most quality source cable for you to get is a HDMI to M1-DA cable which is now widely available for purchase.
Infocus should have included this cable in with your projector, but instead the power at bee decided to put a M1-DA to DVI-D cable instead when most visual devices now support HDMI and not DVI nowadays.
That projector supports M1-D also which is the digital side of the M1-DA... Anyway, they sell cables that are M1-D to HDMI to which you can hook directly to the PS3. They are decently priced too, less than $20. I know this thread is old, but I came across it due to an issue I am having with my xb31, broken color wheel. Trying to find parts...
