Hello,

Yes there is a solution but you need to disassemble the phone in order to get acces to the motherboard. Your phone should have a small coin cell battery that may have drained over the time. That small battery is used to power the internal clock and basic settings. It is used because of the need to keep the clock settings even if you remove the main battery or reinsert the seem. It's usefull when it works but if there is a problem with the main battery or that coin cell one, you may need to check if dirt or something else is blocking the contacts between the main battery and the motherboard and eventually change the coin cell battery. It may be soldered to the motherboard, in this case you may need some soldering skills to get it out. A service center could also solve this problem for a small fee.

Hope this helps.

Please can you tell me how to change time and date. thank you. Wendy

The current time and date are shown on the display when the machine is on and ready for use (standby mode). The time and date are printed on all faxes you send.
Note: If power to the machine is cut off for over 30 minutes, when power is restored, the machine prompts you to reset the time and date.
1. Press Setup. The display shows the first setup menu; FAX NUMBER/NAME.
2. Press left arrow or right arrow until 'TIME/DATE SETUP' appears, then press
Start/Enter. The display asks you to choose a date format.
3. Press Start/Enter.
4. Press left arrow or right arrow until you find the desired date format, then press
Start/Enter.
If you select USA, the time and date appears in the order of month, day, then year. The EUROPE format will be displayed in the order of day, month, then year.
The display shows the currently set time and date using the selected date format.
5. Enter the correct time and date using the number keypad.
Day = 01~31
Month = 01~12
Year = four digits
Hour = 00~23
Minute = 00~59
You can also use left arrow or right arrow to move the cursor under the digit you want
to correct, then enter a new number.
6. Press Start/Enter when the time and date on the display is correct. If you enter an invalid number, the machine beeps and does not proceed to the next step. If this happens, just reenter the correct number.
The display shows the time and date you have set, then returns to
Standby mode.

Remove any game cards, then enter the system configuration. Browse to the Date section, and change it appropriately. This could have happened because of some sort of Daylight Savings Time bug.

There is a button battery in your camera (CR1220) that remembers the date and other settings when you remove the main batteries. It probably needs to be replaced. It's in a slide-out holder next to the AA batteries (see page 184 in the manual).

You turn on the date stamp by using the photo size settings. Press the Function key and scroll down to the bottom item (usually L). Then scroll over to the Date Stamp icon (to the right of the L, M1, M2, M3, S options). Press the Function/Set key again.

Time

This should take care of it for you.

NOTE: The current date and time are displayed on the LCD when the machine is ON and ready for use (Standby mode). The date and time are printed on all faxes that are sent. When the machine is installed for the first time, the LCD will prompt for the date and time to be set.
  1. Press the [Setup] button on the Control Panel. 'Fax Number / Name' will be displayed on the LCD.
  2. Press the left or right arrow button until 'Time / Date Setup' is displayed, then press the [Start / Enter] button to access the Time / Date Setup menu. The LCD will prompt you to select a Date Format.
  3. Press the [Start / Enter] button.
  4. Press the left or right arrow button to select the required date format, then press [Start / Enter]. The LCD will display the currently set date and time using the selected date format and prompt to set the month. The cursor will be under the first digit of the month and the number will blink.

    NOTE: If you select USA, the date will be displayed in the format of Month-Day-Year. If you select Europe, the date will be displayed in the format of Day-Month-Year.

  5. Enter the correct date using the numeric keypad on the Control Panel. Each time you enter the appropriate number, the LCD will prompt for the next item to be entered in the following order: month, day, year, hour, and minute.
  6. Enter the correct time in 24-hour format using the numeric keypad. For example, enter 22:30 for 10:30 P.M. If an invalid number is entered, the LCD will not proceed to the next step. Re-enter the correct number.
  7. Press the [Start / Enter] button to save the setting and return to the Standby mode. The LCD will display the date and that has been set.
