Question about Sony Cameras
Hi,
Symptom shows lens assembly is defective and need to be replaced. Loading motor in lens mechanism is jammed for some reason and causing shut down camera.
Let me know model number of your Sony camera to provide you lens assembly part number info, if needed or take it to local camera repair shop for lens assembly replacement.
Thanks.

Good luck!

Just take the back cover off, unplug the cable that runs to the switches from the main board and plug it back in. I had the same problem and it now works great!
