You will need to start from the main power supply section to see if the power works. Please check this link for tips on SMPS

You will need to remove the panel to determine the voltage that comes to feed the main board. check the +B , if the voltage dies off, if so check for short in the circuit. Possible drivers being short can also be the reason. Remove off the leads to the output and check if the voltage builds up to confirm.

I have a Vizio M550VSE tv and for the life of me I can’t fighre out what’s wrong with it. The issue I was having is the screen would just flash when turned on and then go black. It pssed the flashlight...

It could be a bad connection that shows up when the screws are tight that hold it together. Put one screw in, test, next screw, test, etc till you find the one causing the issue.

Green light stays on, while the tv has black screen? and stays on for 2mins and than black screen come on, than 20secs later turns on again and this happens repeately

if its a rear projection it could be the light bulb is bad or blown. You can get ideas of what the lights mean at sony. If its the light don't buy one from Pure Glare. com They send out bad or blown bulbs.

Samsung HD tv. had for 2 years. Heard loud pop when tv was off. now won't come on

Samsung Plasma TV HP-T4264. Found a component (mosfet transistor) open (split open). The ones attached to the big aluminum heat sinks. In our case it was part number FQPF9N50C. has them for $1.64 each. I am waiting for the component to replace and though I'm not 100% sure this was the problem, it's very likely.11_12_2011_4_07_50_pm.jpg

Sony kp-61hs10 tv, has sound but picture goes black after 3 min.

I just had the same problem. If your lucky it might be a free 5 minute fix. The five light flashes mean impropper current. I took the front grill off, then behind that is another black cover, I took that off and noticed the circuit boards COVERED in dust. I then took an air can duster and blew off all the dust... works like new. No more flashes and in an out picture. The collection of dust was interfereing with the electrical current.

If the screen is black but on, as opposed to black because it is off, check to see if your timer is set to turn the tv off.

Mitsubishi flashing light replaced capasitors that were blown tv still has flashing light

The four cap replacement in DM module repair is simplistic
and incomplete, as you found out. ALL defective DM modules
have bad SMC's ( small "top hat" caps) AKA surface-mount
capacitors that can be changed only by the most highly skilled
bench techs. We used to change out hundreds years ago in
camcorder circuit board repair.DM board repair is a much more
accessible,thus more "do-able". For more info.............T.
