Find a computer that can fit your disk, and copy the files from the disk onto a CD-recordable disk.
Then, put the newly-recorded CD into your iMac's CD-drive.

IMac G4 Mac Desktop: imac g4 wont boot up scree's just blue?...

If it only boots to a blue screen, try booting up in Safe Boot mode:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455

If this does not work, boot from your install DVD and use Disk Utility to repair the disk:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2956

If this does not resolve the issue you may need to use your isntall disc to perform an Archive and Install:

Are you running OS 9? Are you referring to the loading of extensions at the bottom of the screen on boot?

APPLE IMAC G4 - TRYING TO INSTALL OS WITHOUT DISK EJECT BUTTON

Reastart the iMac and at the same time hold down the mouse left click button. If that does not work.
  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Immediately after the startup sound, press and hold the key combination Command-Option-O-F.
Note: The Command key has the Apple and (commandkeysymbol.gif) icons on it.
  3. Release the keys when you see a white screen that says "Welcome to Open Firmware."
  4. At the prompt, type: eject cd
  5. Press Return, then wait a few seconds. The disc drive should eject any disc that is present, and "ok" appears behind your command when the action is complete.
  6. Type: mac-boot
  7. Press Return.

I lost my sound when installing windows on apple imac and lost the sound

Recent OS X installation dvd's have the windows drivers for bootcamp bundled on them, in a special partition that will show up if you insert the disc while you're booted in windows. Install those, and odds are you'll get sound back.

do you have the original disk, you can reinstall the software.
or you can do an upgrade to a more recent version of mac OS like 10.5
will your mac handle the upgrade?
give me some specs i will find something you can upgrade to.

Playing PS2 on apple iMac

if the iMac is one of the computers with the slot-load drive (you don't load the disc into a tray before it goes into the computer), then placing a disc smaller than a regular CD/DVD will damage the CD drive and will be very hard to remove.

you could buy an external CD/DVD drive and then use smaller discs with the iMac.
