SOURCE: LE code on LG front loader
I had the same error code along with the drum "freezing" up. The first unit that was delivered 2 years ago leaked water from the detergent compartment and they sent a second unit. I have only had this unit for 2 years and I am very disappointed in the LG product. LG was no help on the phone and I the only people that could service it were 45min away from were I live. I took the advice of a posting on this website that it could be a part called the sensor assembly (#6501KW2002A) and ordered it from an online electronics store (www.mcminone.com). To get to the sensor assembly, you first unplug and take off the back plate that has 4 small screws. Next, unscrew the big bolt in the middle and take off the hubcap looking part the bolt was securing. Next unclip the two sets of wires on the bottom of the circle you are looking at (the set of wires to the right are connected to the sensor assembly you want to replace). Next you will unscrew the 6 or so smaller bolts to take off the circular piece that the sensor assembly is snapped to. Take it off, unclip the old sensor assembly and clip on the new one – and reassemble. This worked perfectly for me and the part only cost $18 bucks plus shipping. When working, this product works well but I will not be purchasing any LG products in the future.

It was actually NEC (apologies), I was able to fix as 'OE' means there is a problem with draining water, after manually draining water from wachine i removed the draining pump and pulled it apart a hair elastic was wrapped around turning mechanism of motor after removing that and putting back together the washing machine now works as good as new.

SOURCE: Thermistor for LG WM2688H
It's not an easy job to do.
You will need to remove the top panel, then remove the control panel and then the front panel to gain access to the thermistor. The part is not available to the public and requires an authorized service tech from LG to take care of this problem. You will need a special tool to remove the front door seal spring clamp.
But you can call customer service @ 800 243 000 and see if they can transfer you over to parts. Just give them the model and serial # and see if they would be willing to sell you the thermistor part. You will also need the door seal spring clamp removal tool to make the job easier.
What city do you live in??

It's actually a DE error code which stands for drain error. Pull the
little basket out that's behind the small door on the lower left front
(where the drain hose is) and look inside. The drain pump intake is
about an inch in on the left. Make sure there's nothing in there like a
paperclip or hair pin. If possible reach in and see if you can turn the
impeller. If it won't move there's something in there if it will turn
then the motor is probably bad.
worked for me
got this from mark1963

SOURCE: Thermistor for LG WM2688H
Thanks so much for the tip regarding flipping the machine on its side. I was about do the lengthy process of disassembling the front and I tipped the machine over instead. Lo and behold, there was the problem in plain sight right away -- the wire to the thermistor had simply come off the connector! I restripped the tip of the wire and crimped it back on the connector, problem solved. Didn't even need a new part!
