SOURCE: combi boiler problem

most have an overrun built in for a few minutes. if much longer have you got a room thermostat anywhere to turn down
If it never turns off check the switch which controls ON/TIMED/OFF and turn to timed or off. if it still continues on timed then it's the timer

I have a ravenheat combi boiler how do i reset timer so the heater and water stay on all the time

To reset the timer on a Ravenheat combi boiler so that the heating and water stay on all the time, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Locate the timer/programmer on your boiler, which is usually located near the control panel.
  2. Press the button labeled "Program" or "Timer" to enter the programming mode.
  3. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired on and off times for the heating and water.
  4. To keep the heating and water on all the time, set the on time to 00:00 and the off time to 24:00.
  5. Press the button labeled "Program" or "Timer" again to save the new settings and exit programming mode.
Please note that if you want to keep the heating and water on all the time, it will be more energy-efficient to turn off the boiler or lower the temperature instead of leaving it on all the time.

I am wanting to wire a Baxi 105E boiler to a Danfoss 102 mechanical timer. The boiler has 5 wires = red, blue, earth, black and yellow. The Timer has six terminals = 1 DHW, 2 HTG, 3 COM, I (earth), 5...

1) Contact baxi:
http://www.baxi.co.uk/contact.htm

2) Which boiler wires? I don't know. Page 24 manual.
Manual says to disconnect link between terminals 1 and 2, and instert timer in-line.
http://www.acwilgar.co.uk/Boiler-Manual-PDF/Baxi/Combi%20instant%2080E%20&%20105E.pdf

2) I can tell you about the timer wiring.
Timer is 230Volts
Not sure if you have British Hot-Neutral 230Volt, or Hot-Hot 230Volt.
Wiring is same 2 wires, but words to describe are different.
Let's say you have Hot-Neutral 230V
Connect Hot to L6
Connect Neutral to N5
This will power the timer so it runs and keeps time.
You can get Hot-Neutral wires from Hot-Neutral that arrive to power the boiler.

Now the timer terminals are separate.
E terminal is Earth or ground.
The Common is Hot wire.
The timer then turns on-off and switches back and forth between DHW and HTG.
HTG is heating
DHW is defrost.
Timer has 2 sets contacts.

When timer activates first set of contacts, then DHW defrost terminal receives power from Hot wire on Com terminal. At this time, all power is cut to HTG heating terminal.

When the defrost cycle ends, then the heating circuit receives power, and then the timer has programming that opens and closes a second set of contacts going to HTG heating terminal.

Which wires from boiler connect to each terminal, I am not sure.

Lighting the pilot light on a Worcester 24CDi combi boiler.

Most of these boilers don"t have a permenant pilot light they have electronic ignition that lights the burner when you are calling for heat or hot water, is there enough water pressure in the boiler ( there is a small gauge on the bottom r/h side of the boiler the needle should be sitting at between 1 - 2 if not enough pressure the boiler won"t light )

I carnt set the timer on my combi boiler

There should be a troubleshooting guide in your manual that should help with any problem you have with your unit. If you dont have a manual go to www.desatech.com and click "Wall Heaters" then go to your model number and the manual will come up. I hope this helps!
