Question about Kenwood KDC-322 CD Player

Kenwood KDC-322 volume cutting out

I was given a 94 jeep cherokee with a Kenwood KDC-322 cd player in it. When I turn up the volume the sound cuts out. What would cause this? Do I need better speakers???

    i have the same problem.. after rewiring the ground wire

Don't know how to set the clock on a 322 model auto radio/cd player

Hi most player clocks are set by holding down the clock button then when it blinks it goes into adjustment mode then you use the volume button for the hours and tuning up and down for the minuets. Hope this helps Get it into tuning mode then its easy to work out

Yellow, red, and blue wires. Where does each go? Kenwood KDC-322

yellow wire is memory wire goes to 12 v source that is always on red wire is the ingtion wire so when u turn on key its turns on that goes to a ingtion source the blue wire is ethier amp or ant wire

Power cuts out for approx. 3 seconds when volume is turned up above 20, the must be turned down or will cut out again.

it looks like you have a speaker going bad disconect all four speakers and conect one by one

I turn up my kenwood unit and it cuts off and on until i turn the volume down when it powers back up

check the power and ground connections. sounds like the amp is starving for enough power.

Kenwood kdc-322 faceplate problem?

I found my Kenwood KDC322 faceplate doing the same thing(cutting out) I cleaned the contact points on this 'ribbon' behind the faceplate by rubbing the discoloration off with a pencil eraser. The lights have not cut out again.
