Question about HP Officejet 7130 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Expired Ink cartridges,

My cartridges are expired but are brand new and never been opened so I put them in the printer and the expired sign keeps coming up. For all cartridges. What can I do please. I don't wish to waste the cartridge and would also be expensive. Thank you in advance.

After trying all that HP offered to no avail on my HP officejet 7130 all-in-one i found this link with great pics. http://www.land.netonecom.net/tlp/ref/letters/hpPrinters.php
Tiny hands help, along with a huge magnified lighted mirror (we Ladies use) , a pair of curved kelly forcepts (from my old nursing days) and last but not least, scotch tape.

I did not take off anything but the ATF and the paper tray and turn it off and unplug it.

On this printer the battery is located inside the Left wall and looks just like the 3rd pic on the above link. After you see it, place scotch tape on the top part so it doesn't get caught downunder. Firmly place the forcepts on either side and pull up. Out it flys. I kept mine out 35 minutes before reversing the directions. The directions on the link say keep it out for 1 hour, but I thought it would take me 30 min to get it back in...I used a 5 inch long piece of tape and taped it to the top of the l side so I could use 2 hands if I needed to. One hand I guided it with forcepts and I used my fingers to slide it into that tight spring. After plugging it back in and turning it on (I dared not try to align cartriges etc) I copied something through the ATF & printed another doc off the computer...Thank You. Mary Beth

They believe expired cartridges will damage the printer. If you change the date back on the printer and computer this will solve the problem and allow you to print.

Hello
according to HP
Each ink cartridge has an expiration date. The purpose of expiration is to protect the printing system and to ensure ink quality. When you receive an ink cartridge(s) are expired message, remove and replace the expired ink cartridge, and then close the message. You can also continue printing without replacing the ink cartridge, by following the instructions on the HP All-in-One or the ink cartridge expiration message on your computer screen. HP recommends replacing the expired ink cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of expired ink cartridges. Device service or repairs required as a result of using expired ink will not be covered under warranty.

I have problem with my HP business ink jet 2230. Problem is with cyan ink cartridge. I put new original cyan ink cartridge in printer, after that message is display "Attention cyan ink cartridge expired"....

hello sir, hi, the ink comes out from the ink cartridge to the ink cradle where the ink pass to the paper, this is clogged, need you to clean the ink cradle, you can use warm water to soften the dried ink.

Run out ink error warning message

are using a refilled cartridge?
if yes, install an actual brand new one.

are you using an official cartridge that you've had laying around for a while?
the cartridges expire so check if your cartridge has expired and replaced accordingly.

It say supply expired change color ink i put brand new cartridge still saying the same thing

One possible problem is that the new cartridge has an expired date. According to the manuel, the printer cannot use an expired cartridge. Check the date on the cartridge. Good luck. I am hoping to get a refund from Staples because I bought an expired cartridge.

Supply expired

You can't. Cartridges have a date bomb built in, they may be expired.

Hp printer 7110

hi,

Try to remove the black ink cartridge. From there, you can check the expiry date of the Ink cartridge. If its already expired, then you need to use another black ink cartridge that is not yet expired.

Thank you so much.

Expired ink cartridge

You may be getting this error message due to the printer being able to tell that it is a non-hp cartridge. I don't know how it can tell, but mine says that too. I uninstalled the software and then reinstalled the software. And then I took out the cartridge and put it back in. See if this works for you.

Cartridge

Chances are the new cartridge is defective.
Check the expiration date on the cartridge, and even if it is not expired, I would suspect the cartrigde is bad, dried out, not allowing the ink to lower.
That is the most frequent issue with your problem

Hp officejet 7110 battery and cmos location

The battery is located behind the left front cover. Open the printer, grasp the left front cover from inside the printer and pull to open. Look inside the printer to left and you will see it.
It is enough to remove for a minute to reset the expiration.
But I'm afraid after that the printer may not keep the date and time when turn off.
