Hi.

In this model the agitator (part 11 in diag. below) is held by one single bolt. All you have to do is removing the detergent dispenser and a cover (check diagram, it is part 66-67). After that reach the agitator, undo the bolt (nr 56 in diagram below) located on top of the agitator, and pull out the agitator.

Here the diagram, click on the picture to enlarge:

Here all parts and diagrams for your model.

Need to remove agitator because clothing is caught underneath

To remove the agitator on most Maytag models, you remove the center post cap or softener dispenser on the agitator and locate the agitator bolt underneath. Remove the bolt and pull the entire agitator straight up. If this does not match your washer configuration, please post back with a model number so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance. I hope this helps you.

Washer is leaking around bottom of the drum.

Yes, this does sound like the seal is bad. Unless you have replaced the bearing and seal in one of these bafore. It can be very dificult, without expierence. If not replaced correctly, it can still leak or can cause other problems.

From the sounds of things, you are talking about a front loading dryer. The agitators in the dryer can get coins stuck inside them. Remove the top and rotate the drum to reveal the screws which hold the agitators to the drum. Remove the screws and the agitators, empty the coins or other debris and reinstall.

The loud squeal sounds like the pad under the open side of the drum is worn out. There may also be a dry main bearing in the rear of the dryer. Lubricate the bearing and reinstall the drum. The squeal should disappear.

If this is not a dryer or a front loading washer, none of these suggestions will apply, Sorry

Washer keeps draining...

sounds as if your drain hose is too low. you need to have the hose higher than the water level in the tub. if the hose is below the water level the water will just pour right out
