Question about SimpleTech SimpleDrive 160 GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive
It should have the software on the drive itself.
If you look in My Computer, can you see an additional drive listed? If not then one of the other drives may be using a letter that this drive needs (E and/or F).
If this is the case, you will need to reassign the drive (E and F) a different letter and then the drive will automatically install or at least detect as a drive that you can get the software from.
To do this, go to Control Panel, Admin Tools, Computer Management. Click on Disk Management and you should see the Drive there. Right Click on on whatever is using the E or F drive and click on "Change Drive Letter" and choose a different one.
Then go to your portable drive, Right Click on it and reassign to the letter you just changed from (E or F)
Hope that helps, pls rate me if this answers your question and let me know if need further assistance
