First disconect the wires to the cartridge. With you amp on, touch each wire one at a time. You should hear a buzz on two of the wires (one one each channel) and nothing on the other two. If you do hear the buzz on both channels the cartridge has failed or the connection to it is poor. If you are still missing a channel then the problem lies in either what connects the two devices, or the magnetic cartridge pre-amp inside the amp.

Very low right channel recording

If it's not wiring, then a faulty cartridge can cause that.

Just switched my needle on an ION Profile LP but no sound will come out of my speakers.

Disconect the wires to the cartridge. With the amp on touch each wire one at a time with your finger. You should hear on Two wires a buzz- one for each channel. If you do then the cartridge has failed. If you don't then there's either a bad connection to your amp, or the magnetic cartridge pre-amp inside the amp has failed. This will not effect any other part of the amp.

I know this is an old post, an I dont' have a solution yet, but t seems the same problem as on my Ion USB recorder - One of the input channels is not working. Like you, I found one of my music tracks not plying right - there was only the instrumental and no vocal. When I experimented, and changed round the jacks on the cable coming from the turntable (red and white plugs), I then got only vocals and no instrumental. Obviously one of the input sockets on the USB recorder is no longer working (I already checked the turntable and cable itself by playing back he same track with both stereo channels through my amplifier). You can either get the item replaced if its still under guarantee, or fix it yourself, if you have the necessary skills, neither of which apply to me.

Im trying to sinc my 4th gen ipod touch through an ion iprofile record player, is there a way i can do this?

No, unfortunately the device was only meant for LP to iPod or LP to computer type connections, and doesn't support normal itunes syncing.

I hooked up the ion LP Dock to an analogue amplifier (which is hooked up to my LCD tv and outputs the sound through some bookshelf speakers) via the Phono input connections as per the instruction manual...

"PHONO" is the only designated connection on a receiver that is literal and exclusive. Nothing but PHONO will work right on it and old-school turntables would require it to preamplify the tiny current produced by a Phono cartridge.

BUT, modern turntables like your come with their own preamplifiers, so they MUST be connected to a garden variety Line Level input like AUX (anything BUT Phono or it will overload).

"LP DOCK also has a line-level output for connecting to any home stereo with an AUX input"

As far as WHY your amplifier isn't making da music, that could be whole 'nother problem.

We'd need more details about it and the speakers to go there.

ION LP2CD LP vinyl record records to Internal Fla...

Same just happened to me. I was using SONY CD-R audio 80 min recordable CDs. One burned 3 songs, the other 4 songs before giving me the "CD write failure" message. I tried another brand of CD-R, TDK CD-R, certified plus, and it worked first time. It played on my CD player, on the Ion, etc - works. Maybe the CD burner in the device is very picky as to the brand or quality of the CD-R media? Try a TDK or other to see if that will do it.
-Good luck! Bill

i had a similar problem, itunes/EZ hung after trying to split the first rtack. maybe you have the same problem?. its fixed by downloading latest version of ez software

I have a second problem. the noise from the pickup ( actually on the turntable ) is very high . I can easily hear the lps playing off the needle!! this results in very poor quality recordings. any ideas?
