You could also look for a qualified watch repairman in your area, NOT a JEWELER. I for example carry the capacitor needed to repair your watch, and any good watchmaker should have them in stock or able to order.

The internal storage cell is defective, or the velocity generator is not putting out the proper voltage to charge the cell and or the movement needs a very good cleaning and it is bogging down the opertion.

You watch can only be properly serviced by the Seiko authorized center. This is not something you can do yourself unless you have access to the parts, specialized tools, and are experienced at this type of service.

This is probably a hand adjustment issue. The hands sit on the center post, or pinion. If they get bumped or shaken they can get out of place. You will need to go to a watch marker or tech to get an exact cause of problem. Try Fastfix or a Mom and Pop store with someone on staff who can look at it.

My 5 year old Seiko kinetic (divers') watch: beyond shaking, is there a way to wind it? I used to be able to press the power button and see the second hand advance 20 seconds. Now I never have enough...

I am going to make an assumption or two. One is you wear your watch regularly. At least every other day. Two is you are not sedentary. Try wearing the watch for three days. If the power indicator doesn't read at least 15 to 20 you have a bad cell (capacitor). If it does charge up to 15 to 20 then see if it lasts very long. Should last a couple weeks or more. If not then you still have the same problem. You can also go to a watchmaker and he will have a piece of equipment that can charge your cell in 3 1/2 hours. Then if the cell goes dead rapidly he/she will replace it. Should cost around 50 or less.

MY TAG FORMULA 1 WATCH KEEPS STOPPING AT 11.20 BUT THE SECOND HAND KEEPS GOING.

mcdevito75 here, It sounds like the (larger) minute hand is leaning against the (smaller) hour hand, stopping the time telling past 11:20 while the seconds hand keeps going. You"ll have to see a Watch repair person and have them look at your watch. Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area.

Watch was running fine (auto) stopped in middle of night-can shake- second hand does not move

Unscrew the crown and pull out gentle until it clicks outwards twice as if you were going to reset the time and then push it back in and try shaking gently to start the second hand

Casio Lineage Waveceptor 4717 minute hand off by 20 seconds

You would have to remove the movement from the case, remove the hand and reinstall it, to where you want it.

Press MODE until you reach H-S (e.g. A 11:00 with seconds on top)

Press and hold ADJUST for 3 seconds until H-S blinks

Press and hold SEARCH for every movement; you may wanna press LIGHT so the hands will move freely. Press ADJUST again to when desired time was reached

Seiko Kinetic that doesn't work

This watch does not have a battery, but has a capacitor which is rechargable. It is not taking a charge, and needs to be replaced. You should take it to a store with a watchmaker ON THE PREMISES. Or you could send it to: www.bscwatchrepair.com

Chronograph hand not resetting to 12 o'clock

for my victorinox, the crown out one position and the reset button (lower chronograph button) changes the minute hand and the top (start/stop button) does the 10th's of a second...crown all the way out and top (start/stop button) does 30 second intervals for the minute counter.
