This maybe due to "echo" n long distance calls.
magicJack works hard to ensure a clear connection.
If you experience an "echo" when using a magicJack on a computer:
- Go to "Menu" on the top right-hand corner on your magicJack softphone
- Click "Headset/Volume Control..."
- Lower the volume for both "Speaker" and "Microphone" to about 1/3 (one-third) of the maximum levels.
If that does not work:
- Try plugging your magicJack into a different USB port.
If that does not work:
- Unplug your magicJack, restart your computer, and plug your magicJack back in.
If that does not work:
- Unplug your magicJack, turn your modem and router ( if you have one) off and wait 3 minutes.
- Turn your modem and router back on and plug your magicJack back in.
