Hi,

The best thing to do is not use your self cleaning feature....

Whoever invented that has caused way more problems then it solved...

It is a featured designed pruely to sell product because people are inherently lazy and because it burns up good products and then they get to sell more...

Before you go working too hard to get you oven to go into the self clean mode(self destruct)....check out this tip...

The power comes on the clock works but the cooktop nor the oven will heat

It is very likely that one side of your power to the stove has tripped at the breaker. Shut off both breakers together and snap them both on. This should reset the breakers and your stove will be working. If the breakers trip often Have the breakers themselves checked. They can be tripping at a lower curent load than rated.

I've got an amana gas oven range and just had the ignitor replaced. Everything seemed to work great afterwards for about 2 hours but then the breaker tripped. I let the oven cool down before I reset it...

What you want to check or have checked is if the wiring on the new igniter was accidently not properly insulated and some or the wiring is bare and touching metel shorting the breaker each time the oven is turned on.

We just bought a house and tried using the oven (model RBS305PVS) for the first time and it doesnt get hot at all. It looks as though it is working but no heat comes from the oven at all. It worked...

First try resetting the circuit breaker it has a 2 pole double throw breaker and it is possible for one side to have tripped. To reset correctly Push the breaker switch all the way to the off position till it won't go back any farther then push to the on position and try the stove again If it does not work let me know and I will tell you what to do next. If you just bought the house you do have the option to have it repaired at no cost to you if you call the Realtor who you bought it from. Be waiting to here from you.

Frigidaire gallery stove, oven not working,

Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

Unplug your power cord from the socket outlet.
remove the back cover where the power cord connection is housed. visually check the connection, expose wire harness might touches the cover somehow. or the cover was dent that causes the bare wire to touched the cover. correct the dent if any, or tighen loose wire.assemble back cover. Reset your circuit breaker to your Stove because the pop sound might trip off your breaker. That should solve the problem.
