SOURCE: blown or damaged transistor

I recommend to you to take it to a center of service, since sometimes there are damaged more parts than those who see seen wing although if you himself want to do it then, that I number of part is to give you another suggestion of the possible parts that are damaged

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Fuse went out

if the fuse in the power supply board was blown, check for shorted component parts like diode and transistor at the power supply board before replacing new fuse.

My fuse blew in my Samsung 53" Plasma TV. I changed it, but it's blown again? What should I do next?

The fuse blown because theres a short circuit connection in the PCB power supply of your television. Please check the power supply inside, remove the back cover to see the power supply section.unplug first to avoid electric shock. Will you check the bridge type diode first. If the bridge type diode or diodes is shorted the fuse is always blown.Using digital tester check diodes, regulator transistor, and other transistor around the power supply.

hi...if you have plug the TV in 22oV instead of 11V..it automatically blown the fuse..the power supply has this Varistor it will shorted and blown the fuse if detected high voltage....I suggest you replace the fuse and check for any other defective parts in the power supply section....check for bloated capacitors.. shorted power switching transistor... if none TEST RUN..let see if your TV will switch ON...please rate and vote...

No power fuse blown replaced fuse new fuse blown

It shows that there is shorting in the further circuit, check MOV (metal oxide varistor) used for protection in the mains supply,MOV is mounted parallel to the main input supply,if o.k check further bridge rectifier and finally switching device used for SMPS power supply either transistor or STR by replacing the same.

Keeps on blowing fuse

Hello
If fuse blows off repetedly, it shows that there is a direct short inside the power supply section. You just check the mains rectifier diodes for short. iIf a rectifier stack is used desolder it out and check for short. In some sansui sets, ther is a metal oxide variste connected across the supply line inside directly. It is for line spike suppression and an overvoltage protection. If any of the above appears on the power line, the varistor will get shorted, and the fuse will go out, to prevent further damage to the circuits. Check that varistor for short. Check the resistance across main filter capacitor for any direct short. If it seems shorted, check the switching transistor for collectror to emitter leak, Resolder it out and check. These are the main reasons for blowing fuse. If the switching transistor has got leaked, you must check the entire SMPS control section, especially in case of used zener diodes, before replaceing a new transistor. OK.
If you wants anu further assistance, inform me through Fixya. Ok.
