The following procedure would require a little patience

  1. Backup important files if you can.
  2. Update AVG antivirus.
  3. Run AVG and scan your computer for viruses.
    1. Take note of the viruses found in your computer.
    2. Sometimes viruses would modify your system files and needs to be restored.
    3. To do this you need to check the internet for the details of the virus for better understanding.
    4. Follow recommended removal / repair procedure for the type of virus that infected your unit
  4. There are several antispyware (free) available that can be downloaded. Try this
· malware Sewwper http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Anti-Virus_Utilities/Malware_Sweeper_Free.html
· You can also checkout other free softwares at www.download.com
  1. Download and install anti spyware / malware.
  2. Install spyware / malware and don’t forget to update before scanning your computer.
  3. Scan your computer for any spyware / malware software.
  4. Follow recommended removal / repair procedure after scanning your computer.
  5. Download / Install Windows updates to patch problems.
  6. After doing the procedure sometimes it helps if you run your disk cleanup utility .
If problem still persist run your recovery disk or reinstall your operating system but then again there several things to consider before doing this procedure (programs, availability of installers). But before doing so, make sure that you have backed up your important files.

email me if you have other concerns edric_james@yahoo.com i would be glad to help

Sorry guys/gals no can help you there. There is a multitude of free virus and spy ware removal software located online but it's free for a reason. Even if you get the good programs, no one program removes everything. Also if you have gotten to that point my suggestion is bringing it over to the Geek Squad. They have VERY powerful Mal ware removal tools which can take care of almost any problem. The only advice I can give is, BY A GOOD ANTI VIRUS FROM THE START , Also..No Limewire, ebar share, kazza, ares, WinMX or any P2P program of any kind, thats how 75% of all viruses and malware I see are contracted.

Virus/spyware/malwares and all sort of those stuff are really a pain in the neck. for it to get removed will really require alot of programs and to say at least 16 hours and yet not guarranteed to be totally free. best option>
do a clean reinstall. after the clean reinstall do a flea power (unplug your computer from the wall socket and press the power button to drain any information in the memory that could still be hiding.)

Problems with my pc

Hi Christopher,
The problem you describe is most certainly a spyware infection on your PC.
Firstly make sure you have a good anti-virus program installed on your pc.
You can download AVG antivirus for free by clicking on the link below:

http://www.google.co.za/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=avg&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CEoQjBAwAg&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffree.avg.com%2Fus-en%2Fdownload&ei=XxoPT8a8IqXQmAXWmajhAw&usg=AFQjCNF_OvnwrSpXtAdHA34xR79U7KqiGg&sig2=89OH_xygGZRJf5_0dpfKdg&cad=rja

Once downloaded and installed allow AVG to do download any updates from the internet. After all updates are completed Run a full system scan to remove viruses and spyware on your PC.
Best wishes,
Graemevm

AVG free edition should do the trick, but the safest way to get rid of a virus is reformatting your hard drive.

Bluescreen and spyware virus

ok if you think your computer has some kind of spyware or a virus you will need to check your computer for these pests:-

I recommend these programs to help : - AVG Antivirus (free edition)

and Ad-ware (free edition) for removing spyware properly.

These two programs are totally free to use and are very good.
Website Links for free program downloads below for your convenience:-

AVG Antivirus Free Edition Download link

2008 xp antivirus

Have you tried AVG? It is a free anti-virus software.

By the sounds of it "2008 xp antivirus" is a virus. The people who make these viruses often choose names to trick users into downloading their viruses.

Here is a link to AVG's website. They offer totally free versions of their software.

You can also google "2008 xp antivirus". This may lead you to more how-to's on removing the spyware.

The anti spyware software should not conflict with your anti virus software.
You can download two good free anti spyware programs:

http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2007/3000-8022_4-10045910.html
AVG also has a free version.
