    You'll need a Palm with OmniRemote software
  1. Type in (or transfer) the memo below to your PDA
    Import it into OmniRemote with this menu command:
    Advanced-->Databases-->Import category
  2. Point your PDA towards your player put OmniRemote in TV-mode and press 0 (Zero)

Here is the steps to make your dvd player region free:

1. get the system grid to change region.
2. change to region 2 first.
3. then change to all regions.

Part 1 -> Getting to the grid
make sure the disc tray is closed
press buttons below one after each other
1) Repeat
2) Fast Reverse (3) Next Ch (>>')
4) Fast Fwd (>>)
5) Prev Ch ('6) Play (>)
Take a note of the highlighted numbers (just in case!) in
case you need to do it all again.

Part 2 -> Change player to region 2.
Using the grid make your player into region 2 by
highlighting the numbers 2,8,19,21,22,24 then PLAY button to
save settings(this will turn your player off - you need to
turn it back on by pressing power button

Select the language again then proceed to part 3.

Part 3 -> Change player to region 0 (all regions)
Press the following buttons:
1) Repeat
2) Fast Fwd
3) Fast Rev
4) Fast Fwd
5) Up
6) Down
You should see a 0 on the top left corner!!!

Player is now REGION FREE.

After a short while you should be presented with a set of language options.
Release the Play and Stop buttons on the player.

I am in Australia and have just bought a DMR BW500. I have a dvd from Japan which won't work on it and I have been told that if I unlock the region code, then it will work. So how do I unlock the region...

The following works on a region 4 player. With no disc in the player and the drawer closed, press stop, stop, setup, then 3,8,8,8,3 and the desired region code, (0 for multiregion). Nothing will appear on screen. Then switch the player off and back on. It should now play discs for any region
