Whilst most freezers are frost free, fridges are not,it is a good thing to defrost every 3 months to keep max efficiency,it is also a good excuse to clean it out.

You have a defrost drain that is plugged. You will need to locate the drain and clean it out.Take off the cover for the light and you may see the drain. If not there then pull the refrigerator out from the wall and you should be able to get to it from there.Hope this helped.

Temperature in a frigidaire refigerator too high model # lgub2642lf2

have you check its thermostat settings? or maybe it is in the defrost mode?

is the compressor running? if it is, most probably that you have a leak in the system. have a technician to repair if this is the case after adjusting the thermostat.

after that many repairs you we can say that it has a defrost problem. the freezer will not defrost it self if off for 24 hr . but if the coil is defrosted then we know that we have a complete defrost . now I would replace the derfost terminator and if the problem came back replace the adapitive defrost control .. now with your history if either has not been replaced the replace both of them and your done . this should correct problem .. mm .. hope this helps .. ****

Our Refigerator is forming ice in the freezer. It

Probably has lost the defrost function and excess ice has formed clogging air flow and shutting down ice production. Remove the access panel and inspect the evaporaton department for signs of failed defrosting.

The top of my refigerator is freezing in the back

Hi, the problem you are having is the defrost timer not going into defrost mode when the timer says to. They are normally located in the bottom back of the unit and will have a screw driver slot on it. It may be stuck in the off position. Turn it a click with a screwdriver and see if this starts the defrost mode and other problems. Is the evaporator fan in the freezer up and running? If not, this motor must be on. Keep me posted on this and we can get to the bottom of the problem.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

GE side by side refrigerator defrost problem

CHECK THE DEFROST HEATER FOR CONTINUITY. IF IT IS O.K. CHECK THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL FOR A FAULTY SOLDER CONNECTION ON THE DEFROST RELAY. THE ELECTRONIC BOARD SHOULD BE LOCATED ON THE BACK WALL OF THE REFIGERATOR BEHIND AN ACCESS PANEL.
