I have this same problem... I have no solution for the pressing a button repeatedly when holding down the left mouse button... Terrible design for a mouse... however, I have found a way around the dragging and dropping problem... If you go under your pc's Devices, Mouse options, and check the ClickLock option (under settings... I have mine on shortest length of time).. when you click the item you want to pick up, move it, and release the left button (while in motion) after a short amount of time, you will still hold onto the object and can then move it where ever you want... then when you click the left mouse button again it will release it. It takes some getting used too and I don't think I will buy another HP mouse.. BUT it serving its purpose for now.. Hope this helps!! :)

P.S. It will also do this whenever you highlight text too, so you have to click then highlight and then click again before you can right click.... and whenever you scroll a page using the bar and not the arrows.... but I guess you could just change this setting when needed.... UGH.

Copy & Paste - Drag & Drop of Files and Folders

Do you find it difficult to drag and drop? Copy files from one folder to another OR move a file from one folder to another? Try this:
  • Open the Windows Explorer. How? Hold down the [WIN] key together with E key. Make this window size in between MAXIMUM and MINIMUM.
  • Open one more window and size it medium as before.
  • Adjust the positions so that you can see both windows side by side
  • Select a drive and folder from one window.
  • Slowly drag it and drop it to an empty space in the other window.
  • If you hold down the [CTRL] key while dragging, you will get a duplicate in the second folder.
  • OR highlight a file from one window , right click, then click on COPY; Now click into the next window, right click on an empty space and click on PASTE

How do I eject the Dvd

Press the eject button on the top right-hand of the keyboard. Be patient if the disc does not pop out immediately. Try pressing the button a few times or waiting a few seconds and then press the button again. If it doesn't eject, tilt the computer with the disc drive facing down and shake it gently as you press eject.[1]
2
Drag the disc icon into the trash. If the eject button isn't working, locate the disc icon on your computer's Desktop and drag it to the trash can. The trash can is located on the far right end of the Application Dock on the bottom of the computer screen.

3
Press and hold "Command" while simultaneously pressing "E."

4
Find the disc in the Finder. Open the Finder, located on the bottom left of the applications dock. Look on the left-hand side of the pop-up window under "Devices" for the name of the disc in your drive. Locate the eject button directly to the right of the disc name and click on it.
5
Eject the disc through an application if it is not in the Finder. In iTunes or DVD Player, click on the "Controls" drop-down menu located on the top toolbar and click "Eject Disc." You can also open iTunes and click on "Playlists" so that the left side bar pops up. Look for the CD icon with the appropriate name. Click the eject button directly to the left of the CD name.

How do I delete large numbers of pictures at one time

Method #1 Click and drag.
Click and hold the left mouse button and drag the box around all the pictures you want to delete. This will select any it covers. Right click and click Delete.

Method #2 Shift select
Click on first picture you want to delete, hold down shift, click on last picture you want to delete. This will select any between them. You can also hold shift and press the down arrow to select them one at a time. Then right click and click Delete.

Method #3 Ctrl click
Use this if you only want to delete certain pictures, as you have more control. Select first picture you want to delete, then hold down Ctrl. While holding Ctrl continue to click pictures you want to delete. It will select them as you click them. In this way you can select many non-sequential files. Again, once you have them selected, right click and delete.

***These methods work to select multiple files, so can also be used to move or copy multiple files as well. It's easy one you've done it a time or two.

Drag and drop. open my computer and select source file, then click my computer again and select the memory stick ( you should have 2 open windows, best if minimilised ) then just drag and drop. Mouse over, left click and hold the left button drag the picture(s) to the stick and let go of the left button.

How to get "My Music" from my pc to a new nano

Have you already downloaded itunes from www.apple.com? If so have you added those songs to itunes? I know that may seem like a dumb question. Once your music is ready on your computer you have two ways that you can add music to your ipod. The first way is call Sync all Checked items, if you use this one you will add all the songs in your itunes library that are selected in the left hand check box. The second option is called Manualy Manage, with this option you can move one or multiple items at once by clicking and dragging the items to the ipod icon in the left column of itunes. If you want to drag more then one thing you can select a list by highlighting the first item then scrolling to the last item. while holding select on your keyboard highlight the last item. After that click and drag to the ipod as before. You can also use the control button to select specific multiple songs in a list. Just hold control and single click each item until satisfied. then click and drag again. lol Hope that helped you out with your issue

How to delete multiple things off my acer laptop at the same time

A good place to start is...

Start>Run>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs

You can uninstall lots of programs here.

If you are trying to delete, lets say a bunch of files at once, here are some useful shortcuts.

Ctrl+Click will highlight everything you click on then you can hit delete once.

Click one item then Hold Shift+Click to select all files inbetween your first and last click.

Drag a box with the left mouse button to highlight multiple icons/files then hit delete.

Persistent drag

If you're connecting it using the USB connector, try switching to the PS2 one.  I had various wierd problems with the standard MS USB HID driver with this device.  The standard MS PS2 driver works reliably.
