Unable to connect proxy server. How do I remove the proxy?

I guess I'd need just a bit more information. Are you not able to connect to anything or are you seeing popups you don't want? Have you scanned your system for viruses? If you can not remove the proxy then there are several possibilities.

1st - Make sure you are logged in as the admin of the system you are trying to make changes on.
2nd - check for viruses.
3rd - if no viruses, make sure that you haven't been "browser highjacked". This can happen several ways. A big indicator of this is that your browser can be removed/changed/or otherwise modified but it continues to go back to a specific browser proxy. The reason is sometimes located in your "scheduled tasks" Look for things that are obviously not correct. In particular, anything that sets your proxy or runs an unrecognized dll.

Itune 306 error

iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
To reset iTunes Store cache:
  1. In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Click the "Reset cache" button.
  4. Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
  1. Open iTunes.
  2. Access iTunes preferences:
    1. On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
    2. On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  3. Click the Parental Controls tab.
  4. Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

How do i disable the anonymizer on my laptop

Try to uninstall program thru control panel, add remove programs, and if this does not help, fix the proxy settings manually. Go to internet browser, in the options find Proxy settings and turn it off, or choose No Proxy.

Vtp proxy problem Could not create a connection to host []

If you don't want a proxy connection, then go into Internet Properties in the Control Panel and click the Connections tab when it opens up. Look down towards the bottom and click LAN Settings. When the LAN Settings window opens the only check mark should be on the first box that says Automatically Detect Settings. If you have Check Marks anywhere else on this window remove it. It sounds like you might have a check mark in the Proxy Server area that needs to be removed.

Click OK then close your browser and try connecting again.

How to break a smartfilter?

If the smart filter comes via proxy the only way to disable it is to remove the proxy. by removing the proxy you will no longer have internet (most likely).
The proxy entry can be found in your Internet Explore under the following:
tools/internet options/connections/LAN settings/use automatic configuration script
you need to uncheck that and then restart the browser.
Another way is by assuming Smart Filter has been manually installed on your computer. Go to "START" look for control panel and open it. Sometimes it is located under "SETTINGS". Once opened click on add/remove programs and uninstall smart filtering from there. in the end you might need to restart your PC.
The third way and last one is to go physically on the server (computer) where the smart filter is configured and remove your network user id from the list where it have been added as having restricted privileges

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time.

Firefox refuses connection with ultrasurf's proxy

Well Ultrasurf obviously does not want to work with your internet connection (like mine)

For now you need to remove Ultrasurf. Go to Tools>>Add-ons>>UltraSurf Firefox Tool>>Disable OR Uninstall.

That should at least get your internet working...

As for a working proxy, try using a "Web based proxy"

Google it.
