If the modem is integrated onto the motherboard, enter BIOS SETUP and "disable" the modem.

If the modem is an add-in card, remove it from the computer,
and purchase and install a new PCI-socket modem.

Dell XPS 410 power supply fan loud and computer is running slow

Hi,

This issue happens when your computer is using or requiring a large amount of power source or the power supply is simply dying out already. You may want to update the BIOS. If the problem perists, replace power supply.

I hope this works for you. Good Luck!

Have a Dell XPS 410 with 32 OS. Want to upgrade to a 64 OS. Need info

With the 410, you will need much more RAM before having a 64 bit OS becomes useful. I assume that you have the default 2GB. In any case, all you need is to buy a x64 OS and install it.
