It probably is your threading, rethread, then with the presser foot up, pull on the thread, it should feed smoothly, now put the presser foot down, pull thread again, it should barely move. Sometimes that seats the thread in the tension discs. Check your tension, mine is set at 3 and leave enough of a thread tail, 3-4 inches. Hope this helps.

Right needle keeps unthreading when sewing. Have checked tension, threading and changed needles. Still doing it.

Unable to discern whether this is a sewing machine or serger. Whatever it is, be sure to pull at least 6 inches of thread beyond the needle's eye before taking the first stitch. You can also try gently holding the thread tails while you take the first few stitches.

Bobbin unthreads my needle and will not sew

Try changing the needle to a new one, size 12, a dull or bent needle will cause this.

Needle continually unthreads itself

I would suggest to you to change the needle--it could be damaged
causing the thread to be cut.
also check the needle plate for burrs or sharp spots that you can feel
with your finger.

The needle comes unthreaded when machine is started brother 2600 I

Pull both bottom and top thread to the back of the machine for about 10 cm or 4 inches out before you start stitching. Hold them loosly. Put fabric under the foot (the whole foot, don't start at the raw edge), make sure foot is down (to ensure tension). Start with the needle in the top position.
Your needle is likely to become unthreaded when the needle goes down and back up. But not if you hold the thread (and enough of it). Happy sewing.

NEEDLE KEEPS COMING UNTHREADED WILL NOT CATCH IN FABRIC

Most machines need to have the thread extend to the back of the machine in order not to come unthreaded.

Your threading is not right, totally remove your thread and rethread according to the manual directions and dvd. If, you still have problems call Singer at 1-800-4singer
