Do you have a model # on that JWin - I wasn't aware that they made portable DVD players.

Generally speaking, though, you would have take the movie file from the Ipod and copy it to your computer if it was not already on there. Then from the computer (with a DVD-ROM drive), you would burn the file to DVD and play it on the DVD player.

You can't play video from the Ipod directly to the portable dvd player, because the iPod does not have a video out - it only has an audio out - sorry.

How to watch DVD on iPod touch 3G?

It is great that Apple's new iPod Touch 3G can hold up to 80 hours video, but as we all know, DVD files cannot be played on iPod, because all the iPod devices do not support DVD format. You can only enjoy the high quality DVD movie under the premise of owning a DVD player. But if you want to watch the DVD movies on portable devices like iPod touch, you need an application which enables you to convert DVD to video formats, for example, mp4, mov, m4v etc.

In fact, there are dozens of third party solutions that will enable you to convert DVD to iPod. Some of them can work perfectly, while some may not. After trial experiences, I may introduce a powerful DVD to iPod Ripper for you.

Wondershare DVD to iPod Ripper is an efficient application which will fulfill all your desire and requirements with its excellent performance - super quick conversion duration and excellent audio/video quality. You can enjoy the high quality movies in your iPod as if you were watching in DVD Player.

Key feature:
1. Convert/rip DVD movies to iPod supported video formats (MPEG-4/MP4)
2. Optimize DVD video to iPod supported video resolution, perfectly fit your iPod screen
3. Extract music from DVD to iPod MP3, M4A and AAC
4. Edit DVD video (like trim, crop, add watermark and more)
5. Convert DVD to iPod Touch 3G and Convert DVD to iPod Nano 5G with camera
6. Support all iPod models (including iPod OS 3.1)
7. Support Windows 7

Here is the step by step tutorial showing you how to transfer DVD movie to Apple iPod Touch, of course iPod Classic serial and Nano serial are also compatible.

Please download Wondershare New iPod Touch Converter, install and launch it. And follow the steps below you will convert your favorite DVD movies to iPod Touch MP4 video with only 3 steps.

Step 1: Add DVD movies
Click "Add" you can load DVD files from DVD Rom/Folder(data DVD)/IFO/ISO files respectively.

Step 2: Select MP4 as output formats
Then you can select MP4 as output formats from the categorized output formats listed in "Profile" drop-down list. This iPod Touch DVD Ripper also allows you to convert DVD to iPod Classic/video/shuffle/nano. You can select the corresponding format.

Step 3: Start conversion
After selecting the output format, you can start conversion by clicking "Start" button, and all the tasks will be done at high speed and fabulous quality.

Tip: You can check the option to select "shut down computer when conversion completed".
The whole process is as easy as ABC, and then you can transfer the video file to your new iPod Shuffle. Hope you enjoy it.

Change a DVD format to mp4 or wav so they can be played on a ipod

Hey!
There is legal way to change the DVD format to other video format. That is to use DVD Ripper Software which can convert DVDs to some other video format for playback on some portable media players including iPod, Zune, iPhone, Walkman, BlackBerry, etc. And I am now using Wondershare DVD Ripper Platinum which is very easy to use. For converting a DVD to iPod MP4 video, it usually takes about 30 munitues. If you want to have a try, you can free download this DVD Riiper at: http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/dvd-ripper-platinum.html#181.
Hope that helps.

Go to Radio Shack.  You're going to need an IPod dock that has video playback capability, an av cable with the three av outputs.  Then you will need a mini jack cable that plugs into the video and another mini jack stereo cable for the sound.  You made need a coupler as well.
They only make home cables for Ipod systems.  The other wires will convert the home cables for portable DVD use.

Hey!
Usually, the iPod videos are in MP4 and MOV format, while, the DVD player can't play video in MP4 and MOV format but DVDs. Therefore, you need to convert your iPod video into DVD so that it can be played by DVD player. I am now using this Wondershare DVD Converter Studio which works fine. IPod 160 Classic

From an Amazon Post: 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful: stars-3-0._v47082372_.gif An iPod Classic 160gb CAN BE made to work with one of these units, December 22, 2007 By Technophile "Technophile" (Detroit, MI USA) - See all my reviewsThere is a way to make the iPod Classic 160 gb work with the Philips line of Portable DVDs with iPod docking but its awkward and requires the purchase of Apple's Composite AV Cable ($50). Apple installed in the 6th generation iPods what amounts to an electronic lock. When you set the player up to send out video externally it will ask you to "Please Connect Video Accessory". It's looking for the sixth generation Apple Composite AV Cable plug. Somewhere embedded in the plug's configuration is the key to the lock that the player is looking for. Once you insert this plug the movie you have selected will begin to play and all you have to do then is remove the cable and insert the unit into the dock and you should see your video displayed. As i said before, this is an awkward work around and should you go back to the main menu to select a different movie you will have to perform these steps again. For those of you (like me) who were stuck with one of these units, this work around just might make you feel a little better about your purchase. Good Luck!!!!
