How do I balance the washer as well as the bowl inside . I have never been able to fully balance the washers base and I also am wondering if the bowl needs balancing and how to do both.

There are no balance adjustments, the drum is a floating design on springs and ,lower hydraulic arms. The drum is also weighted for passive counterbalance.

My GE washer GTW460NMKwww, the drum will not balance itself when going into final spine cycle.

Are the clothes evenly distributed inside the drum and the washer not overloaded? The drum is not self balancing, you must take care when loading it to even the weight distribution

My fisher and paykel eco washer spins weirdly and makes lots of noises

Noisy
If the user is complaining about noise, it may be in a number of different areas. Is the noise during
spin? Is it a banging sound? This would typically be the drain hose, inlet hoses, mains lead or
harness. If it is an out of balance noise, check that the machine is level and stable. Check the
bias spring and balance rings. Remove the inner bowl and check that its weight is within
specification (Refer Section 1.12).
If it is a 'clunk' that occurs up to 3 times per cycle, this would be a bowl check and is completely
normal. It occurs when SmartDrive is draining and 3/4 empty. This is a 'feature' and a noise that
cannot be reduced.
Other things to check are:
• Is SmartDrive level and on all four feet equally.
• Check the mains lead, inlet hoses and drain hose outside the wrapper, behind SmartDrive.
• Check the harness and drain hose inside is not banging on the wrapper during spin.
• Check the bias spring is fitted correctly.
• Check the 2 balance rings in the inner bowl contain water. Check the bowl weight.
• Check for noisy suspension rods.

How to fix my fisher & paykel washer machine from shaking and knocking

Your 4 suspension rods will need replacing as they are loose & worn.
Or the bowl has lost its ballast water from the top & bottom balance rings of the bowl.

The model is " Excellence Smart Drive 5.5" The machine start and stops what ever cyle is on. The problem t started after the content jammed inside. I was wahing floor rugs. I hope to hear from you very...

Hi Alzira,Just read your posting. Now this problem sounds like an out of balance fault.Try lifting the lid and pulling the bowl to the front right of the machine as the out of balance lever might be stuck on the inside bowl. The reason you are going to pull the bowl to the front right is the out of balance lever is located to the back left ,Please reply back on how you went and also if you still have the fault.Looking forward to your reply.

If my washer machien makes a noise like boom boom and moveing what do i do get a part to fix it

The correct answer will depend on exactly what your washer is doing when the Boom boom noise is heard.

I will take a guess that it is on the 'spin' cycle or 'rinse' cycle - while the bowl is spinning. The boom sound is your wash bowl (drum) hitting the rubber bumpers located on 3 metal beam like parts.

The cause is either a bad balance in the load (lots of jeans bunched up on one side of the bowl throws is out of balance and it hits the sides. Or- one of the 3 springs that hold the bowl in the center of the machine cabinet is off its fastener. You can look under the machine (lay it on its face - on a towel or rug), with no water or clothes in it..... and check to be sure all the springs and fasteners are in place.

If one is broken, pull it out and take it to an appliance parts place in your area.... and get a new one. Just install the replacement part like the other 2 assembles inside the cabinet.

Let us know this does it for you.... -Jim

Maytag Performa Washer spins out of balance

There was a recall on the washer base, which caused the unbalanced problem. Find Technical Buletin TDL-0050B-B issued by Matag.

Washer out of balance ALL THE TIME...

Remove front panel and check the springs that hold the bowl down onto the base. One of them may be broken or detached. On the base, the bowl assembly fits into a plastic collar. This collar may be worn, causing the machine to go out of balance. My guess is that the collar is worn or broken. You should be able to see plastic "dust" or pices on the base or the floor under the machine.
