If it is like my Kenmore, the water tube connection at the lower edge of the freezer door hinge line, may have come loosened by opening and closing the door. That tube provides the water source for the in-door chilled water outlet. Just tighten the connections.

Whirlpool leaking water under refrigerator. It does not do it all the time. Water is apparrent when unit is defrosting.

The water should drain into a plastic container which is on top of the motor so the motor heat evaporates it away and this container is either broke or the feed pipe that runs into it is disconnected or something akin

Freezer pipe broke is ti safe?

The pipe you refer to does not exist. Piping on a domestic refrigerator consists of [1] a liquid refrigerant pipe or [2] a vapor refrigerant pipe. In either case, if you are close to either of them when they "break", they could cause damage to you. After the referigerant charge has finished discharging, they are generally not dangerous.

Plastic water pipe is broke behind refrigerator. when the water dispenser is used, water goes everywhere. what is the best way to fix the line

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. You can replace the whole water line or cut out the broken section and use a coupler to connect the hose where you cut out the damaged section. You just push each end into the coupler and your done.

We had a water main break down the road a few days ago. Since then, my Series 600 ice machine hasn't produced ice very well. I tripped the breaker to try to reset it but no improvement. Suggestions,...

when the main broke ,sediment collected in pipes. were you asked to flush youre pipes before drinking the water? it is possible youre supply line to the ice maker is clogged with sediment. take off the supply line and make sure water is reaching the ice maker. if it is ,youre filter or inlet may be clogged. hope this is the fix.

Hi I had a leak in my water line to the ice maker. I replaced the line, now it will not make ice. Water is not going into it.

The fact that it was running fine before you replaced the pipe indicates the problem is with either the connections on either side or possibly the pipe is kinked or the wires from the solonoid pipe have been accidently moved. Firstly Dissconnect each end and see if pipe is clear and round on both sides. if good, blow into one end and see if blowing is possible. Then replace one side of pipe onto solonid side. With the opposite end open activate the valve. Water should come out in about 3 seconds. no water = vave not activating. If you are not farmiliar with mains power i suggest you dont test solonoid by yourself. Get help. Put a lead onto the solonoid and plug into mains. Switch on briefly and see if sol. activates with water exiting on the open side. If so switch off and reconnect pipe onto connecter that old one came off from.Once connected, have someone check inside at the icemaker while you put power on to the valve again. If water comes out, switch off- pull plug out then reinsert solonoid wires back onto the sol. Must work. Very seldom will the valve be a problem. Another thing you could do is to activate the test button function.

My frigidaire ice maker is not making ice after loosing its prime. (pipes broke outside) got water to the valve at the bottom but nothing coming out.

Sound as tho some debris has gotten into the valve clogging it. It is safer to replace valve than to try and clean it. Hope this helps

The water dispenser has a low flow and the filter has been changed recently?

You need to try another filter before looking for a fault. If still blocking, switch water off then unscrew "filter holding bracket" 2 pipes connected. one from the water supply and the other to the to the dispencer. Open the water pressure and inspect the rate that the water flows.from the supply. If satisfactory, try and connect the one pipe to the other and retry water pressure. if not strong, problem is in second section of pipe. Rectify.

Water line broken for Kenmore refrigerator near compressor

Cut off a piece of line and go to a good hardware store, they can show you how to fix it. Need a coupling, and a nut and ferrel. House water line goes on one end of coupling, nut and ferrel on the broken water line on fridge. A good hardware store will be able to show you how to fix.

Moffat fridge leaks, every couple days water on floor at front of fridgee

The reason why it leaks is because the pipe that discards the water underneath the refrigerator is clogged and must be cleaned. The water normally drains through this pipe into the bottom tray of the refrigerator where this water deposit is supposed to evaporate during normal conditions. When the pipe is clogged then the water does not fall into this tray. Therefore, turn off the refrigerator (power off/ previous taking-out of all food of course!) than go behind the fridge and locate this pipe (plastic hose / if you have difficulty locate at least the tray on the bottom and than locate this pipe / to locate it you can see the little hole on the back bottom of the freezer this is where the water is supposed to get out. Put water into the hole and you can see where it falls). Clean the pipe and the problem should be solved.
