Question about FUJIFILM FinePix AX200 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Hi recently bought a fujiilm ax200 and i used regular Duracell batteries just to test out the camera. Then I purchased rechargeable batteries and the camera for working fine for the five minutes i took photos with it. When trying to upload the photos onto the computer the camera would not turn on. I plugged it into the laptop with the usb and it just wouldn't work. Even after I unplugged it the camera is not working, i tested other batteries and the rechargeable ones are fully charges and work on other devices but the camera won't turn on! How do I fix this? And what is wrong?

Go to ur shop where u've purchased or else go to service centre.......i think the problem must be associated with the power supply....the metal films inside the battery chamber must not be in contact when u put ur batteries...or the battery may be wrongly connected...

Try using regular batteries. I did with my camera and seems I can go a lot longer on the regular batteries verses the re-chargable ones

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W5 5.1MP - purchased about four and half years ago (ancient in technology years I know) - but it's a good camera and has served me well. For about six months I've had issues...

Have you tried this technique? Rub the contacts in the battery compartment with a pencil eraser and then with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

Are You Using Regular Or Alkiline?

cameras eat batteries fast. the best cameras have rechargable battery packs.

i'd use energizer or duracell. try to stay away from alkiline rechargables as they wear out fast. try Nickle Medal Hydrate Batteries (NiMH).

Try lithium ion or rechargable batteries (maH > 2500). Alkalines (regular duracell/energizer) have trouble powering many digital cameras since they cannot sustain the amount power output necessary.

You're using the wrong batteries. You need to purchase lithium batteries. They are quality batteries for high powered, battery operated electronics. Personally, I have a battery charger and use rechargable duracell batteries. (HR6/ DC1500/ NiMH/ 1,2V) Gives you approximately 16 hrs before having to recharge.

Last year I bought my mom a digital camera for christmas. It worked great for about 2-3 months. Since then it is speratic, it will turn on let you take a couple of pictures then shuts down all by itsels....

Hi! Most digital cameras require outrageous amounts of power to work properly. Be sure to use only high quality, hi power ni-mh rechargeable batteries. Check for Sanyo Eneloop or Duracell. Sometimes we think the camera is broken, but in most cases is only insufficient amout of power. If you can't find the before mentioned batteries, look for 2500mA NI-MH type rechargeable batteries and a proper charger. Good luck!

Batteries always low

If you're using regular alkaline batteries that?s fairly common. If you want longer life most people purchase rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries and a charger. Depending on the camera you?ll get 40 or more flash images out of a charging. I have two sets, one in the camera and one in the charger. Expect to pay about $5 to $10 for a set of four and around $10 or $20 for a charger, make sure its for nickel-metal hydride batteries and not the old style nickel-cadmium. Good luck and don?t forget to rate this post.
