Question about Canon PIXMA iP1600 Printer
First, reseat your ink cartridges. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Thanks, Joe
if reseating your printer cartridges doesn't work, keep looking for things that would cause the printing head carriage (the thing the print cartridges sit in) to not function properly.
5100 is a carriage error, check the timing strip for contamination(plastic strip about 1/4" in width)
The unit is not homing, check for obstructions.
1. clean **** strip film
2. clean **** strip film sensor (back of head carriage)(use contact cleaner)
3. fix purge unit
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response.
