Looking to upgrade my graphics card...wondering will this be supported on my Acer Aspire M5200? And if not which would be the best to choose for it.. ty

Yes it will but it is recommended that you upgrade to atleast 128MB more so if you are into gaming. If you can get me the make and model of your chipset I can suggest a compatible 128MB card.

VGA ONLY ONBOARD

This is the driver for your card:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_96.85_2.html
It seems to be compatable up to Windows Vista so, it may, or, may not be compatable with Windows 7. If you are trying to get a driver for Windows Vista or earlier, this should work for you. Make sure you uninstall any prior driver before downloading this. If you have Windows 7 or are thinking about getting it, you can run the upgrade advisor here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/upgrade-advisor
to see if your system and card are compatable with Windows 7.

I have a Toshiba L355D-S7825. I run Windows 7 on it. I want to update my graphics card to Shader 3. Will my computer support this? Is it motherboard compatible? What's a good card with this...

The shader 3 mode is a inbuilt option that is designed within the graphic cards (i.e. intergrated or slotted cards). This function usually use for high graphics gaming for PCs. You cannot upgrade the Graphic card to get this Shader 3 options for your Laptop. The best options you can do is to update the drivers & DirectX to the latest for your laptop "ATI Radeon™ 3100 Graphics" intergrated graphic card.

Hope it helps.

Are there any video cards that you can use to upgrade the 530g? I have seen posts that the power supply is an issue. If it is possible is it a matter of installing the card and disabling the onboard...

Your pc has a special graphics expansion port - AGP x8

You can insert any graphics cards which will fit the port. Check carefully, there are quite a few different types of graphics port.

Once inserted, boot up the PC, and insert the disk you should get with the card, it will have all the relevant drivers.

There should be no need to alter the bios settings, the new card will be identified by the boot process.

If power supply does become an issue, you will need to upgrade the PSU (Power Supply Unit).

Monitor displays frequency out of range.....need help . How can I solve this?

The frequency is out of range because the VGA graphics card is not compatible or set right for the monitor's set of frequencies that it can work with.

Try another VGA graphics card.

Or upgrade the card to one with DVI, and upgrade the monitor to one of those 24" DVI Samsung monitors. They're nice. I got one from Best Buy a few years ago, and never regretted the larger desktop.

Good luck on this one.

I have a dell studio laptop 1555 with intel integrated graphics,is it possible to upgrade graphics card to 1 gb with ATi or equivalent for gaming and How?

I am pretty sure that you can not. Unless you are an electronic expert and you can get a laptop ati mobile graphic card which is compatible with your laptop. These parts are very expensive and these modifications are not cost worthy. If you have the time and money try to change the hole motherboard. Hope that helped!!!

ASUS A7V8X-LA

Wow, just buy a gaming computer. The burn-in, compatible components, warranty, all those things are sooo nice. Take a lot of burden off the whole system.

AlienWare has really good stuff.
